Love this Little Truck! It meets all my everyday needs.

Overall a very nice looking truck. A bit pricey compared to the competition but Hyundaj does offer its excellent Warranty

radiator issue not the only one with it

my radiator got hit with something and it had to be towed. the service people stated that something hit it and it broke the radiator and it was the 3rd one in the shop for the same reason. he recommended a net but why is the front grill not smaller in the openings to prevent these issues.

A lot of fun and function

My 2924 XRY has met all my expectations. No mechanical issues routine maintenance and excellent fuel economy. My total mileage is 14000. I enjoy the engine responsiveness And various driving modes. Particularly enjoy the AWD in the rainy Northwest. Turning radius’s and lack of proximity sensors took getting used to but otherwise exceptional tech makes up for it. Comfortable for a 6’3” man and a pleasure to drive distance on adaptive cruise nearly autopilot. Overall great value and met all my expectations

The Cruck

I have owned this vehicle for 2 years and for a 50 year old man with adult children it is perfect for me. The best features: are fun to drive, lots of power, covered trunk is great, I love the design, seats are comfortable, handles great. The backseat has little leg room so it would not be good for more than 2 adults. The fuel milage is not great. The best I ever got was 28mpg on smart mode on the interstate. I usually get on average around 22mpg for local driving. The Santa Cruz is the best driving vehicle I have owned. I highly recommend if it suits your needs.

Love the vehicle. But one problem, which would have been a deal breaker, the top cover on the bed leaks. They tell me this is normal for that style of top but when I was looking at it before the purchase I stated I travel and would haul luggage back there. I was told it would be perfect for that and the luggage would stay dry. Well, it doesn’t, it leaks. The dealership replaced some of the hardware, (the spring broke) and it leaked worse. Then a couple of months later they replaced hardware on the top its self. This did help a bit, but during a lengthy or hard rain it still leaks far to much to carry luggage back there….i can only travel by myself in this vehicle with my luggage in the back seat. When my wife goes, we have to use here Sorento. I love the car and have dealt with this problem as best I can, but not at all happy that I was told what I was told and that it remains a leaking problem. Personally, I think I should be reimbursed a bit if the cost for the inaccurate information and lack of ability to use the car as promised

be good for single person. other than that pack lite if going on vacation. no room in bed when you slide the bedliner back

Will Miss my Santa Cruz :-(

Not sure why you are asking for opinions on a vehicle that is being discontinued. Hyundai made several huge errors that probably made this model unsuccessful. First, the DCT was ENTIRELY the WRONG transmission for this kind of vehicle. It’s a sports car transmission, not a truck transmission. I understand this was rectified for the 2026 model, but too little too late. I shudder to think how much $$ it cost to replace so many DCTs under warranty and for the life of me, cannot figure out why it took Hyundai 4 years to figure this out. Also, it was a total miss to not make a hybrid or EV version of this model. It was possible, the Tucson has hybrid versions. An EV would have flown off the lot. Hyundai would have finally had a good looking EV. Frankly the Hyundai EVs are the ugliest on the market.

SUV with a small truck bed

Needed new rear suspension @ 30,000 miles which they did replace as they were under warranty. But, I have NEVER put any heavy weight in the back and have only driven it on flat surfaces. VERY happy with their warranty which is why I went with hyundai in the first place

Horrible vehicle; Horrible warranty

I really wanted to like thus vehicke. It looks nice. However, tat is about all that is good with this vehicle. Horrible gas mileage (14 miles per gallon), very uncomfortable seats and alot of outside road noise. Vehicle currently has about 4,000 miles on it abd the check engine light cane on. I took it to the dealership to check it out abd I was told I would have to pay $249.00for diagnosis services abd that it wasn't covered under Hyundai's "outstanding" warranty. It appears that Hyundai's "outstanding" warranty is not worth the paper it is written on; except perhaps for toilet paper. I would not recommend any Hyundai product to anyone!

Not consumer friendly

The vehicle is overpriced from the dealer. Depreciation after purchase proves that. Your oil change intervals shorten the life expectancy of the engine for future purchasers. Hyundai isn't the only manufacturer but all your engineering designs in the name if improvements dont improve anything enough to justify the cost of repair. So let's just say you are not selling to better the consumers experience.
