The Cruz

I have put 30,000 mile on My Santa Cruz, and have had not a problem with it. I have hooked the trailer up and drug up to 1800 lbs on it and the truck had on problems pulling it down the road, and still got 24 - 27 mile per gallon. I've taken it to the beach to go fishing, and if you get a small pump you can use the bed trunk as a live well. Over all great little truck can't wait for when a full size one comes out.

Santa cruz review

Love this zippy little truck. The turbo gives it the get up and go. It is sleek and super stylish. Is a real head turner. The back seats are kinda small for passengers but who needs passengers ? it's all about the comfort of the driver

Great vehicle

Love the styling, comfort and handling of the Santa Cruz. Very quick, rides very well and has plenty of storage. Currently averaging 30 mpg with a combination of city and highway driving. Bed is large enough to carry most items you need to haul and the bed cover is lockable.

Purchased this vehile to carry mobiliy scooters, one in bed and one on a lift hooked on back.

I love my Santa Cruz. 3 months after purchse drove to Kansas City, MO from Las Vegas, NV with only 600 miles on it. Had scooter in bed with luggage and lugage in back seat and electric scooter on a lift attached on the trailer hitch. 10 days traveing through sun, wind and heavey rain. very comfortable for us ( both 77 years old ) Most of the time cruise control set at 75mph and overal gas mileage 23.5mpg.

No regrets!

Was looking for a vehicle that would allow me some hauling space for basic household chores, but most importantly could handle the occasional challenging road conditions during the winter. This is one of the most stable vehicles I have driven on icy roads, and I did not chain up once this past winter. Comfortable ride and extreme peace of mind!

Great purchasing experience

Purchased when new vehicles were difficult to find but my Santa Cruz was sold at the sticker price, while other vehicles I considered were only being offered for sale (when finally available) at 30% over sticker price. What a scam, so I won't consider a Ford in the future! The agent I dealt with was pleasant, professional and accommodating. I've owned a Hyundai in the past and was pleased with the quality.

No help from Hyundai on issues

Vehicle is good as a daily driver which is why I purchased. Needed something alittle higher off the ground. My previous vehicle had gotten to uncomfortable getting in and out due to the height of the vehicle.

Was hoping for better...

The engine issues really hurt my views of the Santa Cruz. A car this new should not have engine troubles. I like the uniqueness of it. Good comfortable ride. But, it all boils down to whether I can trust the vehicle. After this latest issue of oil in my air filter...how can I?

Can’t fix misfire

After 23,000 miles vehicle started misfiring. After 62 days and counting dealer has not been able to fix. Dealer has returned keys 4 times saying fixe with reoccurrences ranging from zero to 70 miles driven.

Android Auto worthless

Was overcharged for built in car accessories from manufacturer Window sticker. No one would take responsibility for the error and reimburse. Had to buy a separate Navigation system. 3 different cell phones wouldnt work. Have had few issues with sluggish/surges. Trunk wont open if running. Bluelink alerts delayed

Hawaii Santa Cruz Experience

Excellent overall experience. The customer service has been excellent. I like the style and have had numerous positive comments from friends and strangers. I have used it to haul an engine and also donsome rubbish dump runs. It has performed well.

Love my Santa Cruz

I love the unique styling and overall look of my Santa Cruz. There isn't much that I don't like about this vehicle. I love the functionality of having a truck bed, with the comforts of an SUV. It has more than enough power for anything I need it for.

I was seriously looking at a new Maverick but dealers wanted 2-3+ over MSRP. I then started looking for a Santa Cruz. I drove one in San Antonio and really liked it. They stuck 2k worth of unwanted or needed stuff and that cancelled that idea. I went to the Hyundai dealer in New Braunfels and they weren't doing the add on $$$ and they had one with the right exterior color and grey interior that I was interested in. It didn't have the turbo engine as the one I test drove had but it had most of the right stuff. They had one of a different color but it was about 10k more. I wrote them a check and out the door I went. Too soon too old, too late to smart. It didn't have near the power of the one I test drove but I thought I could learn to like it. NOPE! I really do love everything about this little truck aside from power. The transmission is doing strange thigs as well. I can highly recommend the truck but not the non-turbo engine. I'm going to try to sell it so I can get the turbo and dual clutch trans. We'll see.
