2026 Palisade vehicle review

My Palisades rides and drives smoothly. When my adult kids rode with me the first time, they couldn't believe how spacious the area around the passenger were. Lots of amenities and quiet ride resulted in a high grade from them!

Want to love my 2026 Palisade but things keep breaking....

I purchased this vehicle at the beginning of March. Within 1-2 weeks of owning it, a parking sensor started malfunctioning. Brought it to the dealer, who discovered it was (also) leaking coolant. The car was in the shop for more than 2 weeks while the dealer waiting for a replacement water pump. Dealer could not reproduce sensor issue (supposedly). Brought it back less than a week later when sensor error recurred. Car was in the dealer for about a week for repair (replaced the bad sensor). I've now had the car home for less than a week and now the back window spontaneously shattered, literally, while the car was sitting in my driveway with no one around (I have home security cameras). Terrible experience so far and seriously considering Lemon Law.

Great vehicle but...absolute disregard for passenger safety

When I returned my fourth Mercedes at the end of my lease and told my longtime sales guy he was losing me to Hyundai, he looked at me like I was completely insane. Five months into ownership, I'm starting to think he was right. I loved my Palisade in the beginning, but I can't trust the third row. My non-verbal son has Down Syndrome and was riding in the third row when he pushed the button to make his seat go forward at which point he was being strangled by his seat belt. Unfortunately, the seat belt does not unlock when this button to move the seat forward is pressed. Absolutely terrifying moment to see your child being strangled while you're driving. This is a completely separate issue from the folding mechanism that impacted the second and third row seats, but also has the potential to cause serious injury. I expect these basic safety considerations would have been thoroughly tested before the vehicle's release, but obviously not. Additionally, my engine light came on before my car even hit 1K miles due to an "air flap" issue that took forever to fix. The only guidance was to set the dash view so the engine temp was constantly displayed so I could monitor it while driving. And let's talk about that gas mileage. I don't know how Hyundai can say the Calligraphy Hybrid gets 29/30 mpg because that isn't anywhere close to reality. It's really more like 21 in the city and 25 on the highway. Between all the issues and not even having the night edition as an option, I wish I would have just waited for the Telluride Hybrid. Nothing but safety concerns and regrets.

Smooth Sleek and A nice Punch

From the second I sat in this and took it for a test ride, I had a feeling of ownership. The new design is what made me stick to hyundai instead of the kia cousin. The comfort in a seats is exceptional, including the third row. Our family is on the shorter side, so no issues with leg room. There are so many great things i love about the palisade. Drivers massager seat, The Bose speakers, the quiet cabin, all the safety features and the sport mode that turns this ride into a mini rocket.

I do Uber and lyft. I purchases vehicle for its size and fuel economy. Once getting into the vehicle and driving it, I appreciated the luxurious and elegant interior leather seats. Huge screen embedded into the -, as opposed to a tablet stuck on your - Like most other companies, which is hideous in my mind. But as far as the inside of the vehicle is gorgeous, the outside is gorgeous. It's the prettiest thing on the road right now. Um, I don't have any complaints. I have a couple of things that I feel like we're missed. Maybe like weight sensors in the. Rear seats with or without power folding rear seats. They should have sensors in them relative to passengers. Other than that, I have no major issues within the first 20000 miles. So all in all a fantastic vehicle. I would highly recommend it for anyone in rideshare or livery or tlnc. to purchase this vehicle, also. If there's any way that you guys would sponsor me to test out your new vehicles and one of the worst terrains in the United States of America, which is Northeastern Pennsylvania. And periodically, check-in with you guys to see what's going on with it. What things there may be problems with? I would be glad to do so for you. Features given, then taken away. Why no choice?

I bought this SUV for variety of reasons, but one thing was the ease of one touch, foldable seats. I understand that there was an accident which caused a life, but to fix it you killed the feature completely. It should be up to the user who bought the device to determine whether they want to activate it and accept the risk or not. In my case, I have no small children and the ease of being able to manipulate this not only from the dashboard, but from the back with one button was part of the reason I got this large vehicle when considering my children and the lifestyle we lead. Interesting that the one touch capability was removed from the dash for the third row, but still remains for the second row. You need to allow the one touch back and make it be an option to select in the head unit. I don’t like having a feature that I paid for, chopped and taken away via a software update, without any way to opt out. Additionally, you have one touch hatch opening, but no one touch hatch closing, which is a huge pain for any adult trying to go about their day. Again, this should be an option that you can toggle in the head unit. I’ve had many instances of being held up in my child drop off-line at school because I had to stop and hold the button to close the lid- unacceptable. Both of these are resolvable with firmware updates that allow the user to choose.

The best car I ever had. I wish it were a little cheaper.

I enjoy driving my palisade hev every single day. Handling is very smooth so I don’t feel like I am driving a large sized car.

Love the vehicle and very glad that I chose the Hybrid. However, electronics continue to be a real concern. I still contend that the tailgate opened by itself overnight, which caused garage door to engage with it upon opening, causing damage to the rear panel. As I tried to stop its movement with my hands, the tailgate continued to close down on both hands, trapping them in the closure. The Service people at Weisner tried to see if it would replicate, but to no avail. This along with the back seats not stopping when blocked (and the subsequent recall), seem to support my contention. There are some serious electronic problems that I'm paying to get fixed while they should be covered under warranty
