Dashboard is fun

Thought I was getting an awesome car, but was in the shop needed a whole new computer system before it was even a year old

Not good on gas mileage. Gear shift is hidden behind the steering whee

Kona is good

Love my Kona. Could do without some of the automated features, such as the auto-stop feature. I don't want to save pennies of gas at the expense of my air conditioning remaining at full strength. Also, I do not like the feature that tries to control how I perform within a lane. Not so terrible on well-marked roads, but I have fought my steering against my car's insistence that tar-lines were in fact traffic lines on the road. Not a fan. However, everything else is grand.

Overall a nice vehicle. Purchased for my 24yr old son who doesn’t have a license to encourage him to drive & to avoid putting miles on our vehicles as we have to drive him places. Seems to have pretty advanced driver assistance features for a lower priced vehicle. Only have a little over 4500 miles on it, but thus far no issues. Happy with the purchase but my son still won’t drive.

Stylish, deceptively larger inside than your think, impressive mpg

Overall, I am very pleased with the car. It gets great mileage, better than my HRV did, and as much as my much smaller Honda Fit did. Both the Fit and Kona routinely do over 44 mpg on the highway. It's much more stylish than the Fit and HRV and like the Fit is much roomier than you would think by looking at the car from the outside. If you are a Dr. Who fan you'd get the Tardis reference.

Computer issues

Never have i ever had a vehicle prompt me to update as much as this Kona has. Whats worse is the updates constantly broke or made something worse. I hate it, ironically my exit safety systems just stopped working recently. If it wasn’t a lease, i’d be pissed about how often i needed to pay for repairs to the electrical systems.

Would Buy Again!

We love the look and the features of the car. It handles well. The only downside is the comfort of the ride. But for it's class, a compact SUV, the comfort is probably where it should be. We've been driving the Kona for a year and so far it's been reliable. I'm hoping we can count on it for 10 more years!
