Good, but

Vehicle is very good, only issue is that after the year and a half that i have owned this vehicle, it is now having issues with the electronics. Sometimes all of the lights turn on on the dashboard. It takes turning off the car then back on to remove them. The android auto sometimes isnt available. The dealer here in El Paso Tx has lost my confidence as ive taken it to get worked on, the tech said there was an update that they had to push but since it was already after hours he didnt get to it. He wrote down that he did do the update and said he had to put it or he would get in trouble. Anyways good car, but cars should offer a non tech versions. I would rather the car works every time than having it do weirs things every so often

cheap

when the engine shuts down, it sometimes completely shuts off and needs to be completely restarted. The radio/display is very wonky and often glitches. The windshield wipers busted pretty quickly and easily. The passenger side door has not been able to close easily on a few occasions.

I love this SUV!!! It’s so much fun to drive!

I really didn’t know what to expect buying this Hyundai Kona coming from a V8 Chevy Camaro was a hard transition, but it’s been really fun driving it. I do miss my power, but the gas mileage has made up for it..

Honest Hyundai Kona (2025) Review

The vehicle drives well for a simple 4 cylinder engine. It has enough power to safely get in the freeway. I feel like many of the internal components could be of better quality especially the center compartment. That had a very inadequate feel and doesn't provide sufficient storage. I wouldn't feel safe taking this car off road - unlike a jeep. The windshield wiper cannot be raised for cleaning. That's a complete design fault. That's a feature that has always been on cars and there is no excuse for getting that wrong. The software for the entertainment system is glitchy and doesn't always connect to my phone without a reset. That should be a simple software upgrade. So far, the car has served me well without any mechanical breakdowns.

Car is decent, dealers are not.

The vehicle has some issues that should typically not cause headaches at a dealership, unfortunatley the dealers themselves are nothing more than scam artists waiting to charge you a diag fee as they "couldn't replicate the issue" after not trying at all.

2025 Review

Overall car runs well. Moves sluggish after light turns from red to green. While it has a lot of features ... many that I don't use ... it doesn't have seat warmers that were standard on my 2014 Elantra. What is most annoying though is the software I updates. Even after the car is placed in park, the Update Now button displays and goes away too quickly to do initiate the update. Why does this button exist if you have to go to the Settings to start the update?
