The car is great, beautiful inside and out. Has all the modern functions which makes it fun and safe when driving. Just wish that Hyundai respect emailing wives and not just emailing the husband. We both signed all the sale paperwork yet my husband was asked on the phone from Hyundai to "approve" that I can speak with them and to receive emails from Hyundai since the car is for me.

Very reliable. Fun to drive. Complicated software.

Great car. Complicated electronics. After a year and watching many videos, I still can't figure out how to get to the tire pressure screen. If someone can send me clear instructions or call and walk me through it, that would be appreciated.

My First Hyundai

I continue to be very pleased with my Hyundai Kona. Earlier I had two issues with a dead battery, but was extremely pleased with the speed of roadside assistance program and follow-up service. I haven’t had any more problems since an update seemed to fix the issue in the 2024 Kona. My five star rating is for all the cameras and safety features and driving comfort. It has great technology. I can confidently recommend the brand.

Useful, comfortable, reliable, excellent all-around car.

The most comfortable and useful car I'd owned. Because of circumstances, I traded it after only a year and 6,000 miles of driving. I hated to see it go and may consider an electric Kona in the future. All around excellent car.

I love the color. The size is just what I was looking for. The heated steering wheel was a requirement for me. The dog loves the height of the back seat. It could use a few more cubby holes for storage behind the seats or a little larger ones in the doors. The storage in back is smaller than I anticipated.

Futuristic vibes! Everyone ask me about it and love the dashboard.

Great Value! Everyone is happy with my car. I made a great decision. Perfect for moving day for my daughter's college. Love it! It has been a great investment. Excellent features! My first car in 1985 was a Hyundai Accent and now they have advanced their game greatly.

Initial comparative review

The 2024 Kona is substantial but not the most quiet internal ride. The electronics are comparatively sophisticated but surprised when a speed 'limit' appears on the dash and limits acceleration. The seats are standard and average comfort that could be improved. Exterior and interior colors are average ,very limited, and not comparable with available choices in other brand vehicles.

Kona Limited is the Best Subcompact SUV

The Kona Limited is the best subcompact SUV in the U.S.A. I love all the features, the performance, roominess for a small car and the luggage capacity. Two minor problems are 1) the lack of seat memory for the driver’s seat, and 2) a difficult-to-read dark map on the home screen. The second problem could be easily fixed with a software update, but Hyundai has not done so.

To many issues already.

Engine light came on already. Had to replace the shocks already, wipers, and the digital screens keep crashing. It only has 14,000 miles and already had to replace engine cooling parts. It over corrects itself way to much.

The first few miles the battery wouldn't hold a charge.

The new Kona is comfortable, but not as comfortable as my 2019 Premium. Why must the tailgate go up so high? The Limited model also a little pricey. We would also prefer the old Sunset Orange, instead of the red.

Happy with upgrades in 2024

Happy I bought in 2024, had the 2020 model enjoy the s!lightly longer body. Gives an over all more spacious feel. I think the lines are really stylish both inside and out.Love the big screen for navigation, and love the wrap around lights on the exterior.

Very reliable with great features. Would reccomemd this brand for future car buyers. Some features you find on higher end cars that makes it a plus. Feels very solid for its size. Would purchase this brand again.

The vehicle is plastic all of it and I feel that $32,000 is too much. I should’ve seriously reconsidered before buying it. Since there wasn’t a Kona n for 2024. They should’ve put more thought into the n-line

Do not buy

The problems I had with this car were unacceptable. I would never recommend a Hyundai to anyone to ever buy because of my terrible experience with this car. Over 3 months of not having my car while it was at the dealer and the dealer was never sure if they actually fixed the issue.

Great car

Reliable, drives great. Gas mileage is excellent. Would recommend the Kona. It has been a reliable vehicle for me since I’ve had it. Very roomy interior. Easy infotainment system to operate. I would buy this car again.
