Best EV of the bunch

the car is a sedan, and if you prefer a sedan over an SUV then this is the perfect sedan. Its spacious interior, its smooth handling, the EV fast charging, best safety features and highway driving assist make it the best car on the market.

Great car

I love this car. It drives really nice. Has great pick up. It’s also fun to drive. The only thing I wish it had was wireless CarPlay. But other than that I like all the features.

A stylish and well engineered car

I have been extremely pleased with my Ionic 6. It handles very well. It has every technological amenity and is very comfortable. It has superb acceleration capability. It is stylish and sleek. My only two complaints is that the tires blow out rather easily if they hit a pot hole and are very expensive to replace; and there is no good place to put your phone so it can be seen while driving.

The Ioniq 6 is a comfortable and safe ride that is also fun to drive.

I enjoy driving the Ioniq 6 on a daily basis. It is quiet, fast and comfortable. I have adjusted the driving mode to MY particular style and the car became even more enjoyable to drive.

Perfect for the city

After a year plus. Still love my Ioniq 6. It is quick, quiet and easy to use. I like the one pedal driving which is also the highest eco setting. Still plenty of get up and go.

We love our batmobile :-)

The only downsides are, like many modern cars, it is a bit "talkative", sometimes proximity beeping unnecessarily, like when stopped at a stop light. We love the 361 mile range and the fast charging. We can get to many of our favorite spots in the area, e.g. to Big Sur and back, on a single charge. The two years of free Electrify America have been great. It takes some engineering to find the perfect places and times to charge, of course. Kettleman city works great for round trips from the Bay Area and LA. We haven't had to wait in line (10- chargers here). In the 20 minutes it takes to get a bite to eat, we are at 85% charge and arrive at our destination with about 100 miles of range. I hope more of these 10-20 (ala Santa Monica) charger stations are coming. We also love the V2L feature. We haven't used it when camping yet, but we connect the car to a Bluetti 2kwh battery in the house, whenever there is a power outage. It's a great way to make it through long power outages. For comparison, you could buy two Ioniq 6s for the equivalent amount of battery storage from a tesla power wall (5.5 powerwalls at 17k each is 94k). And you can't drive a powerwall :-).

Not a great investment

Initially, I loved my car. It is very comfortable, luxurious and sporty. Loved the idea of an electric vehicle until you find out that the depreciation of an EV vehicle is horrific. Additionally, within the first year water started leaking on the inside of the vehicle. I took it to a service shop the glass repair company as well as the serviced for Hyundai said that the front windshield was not sealed from the factory, they resealed it. The car continues to leak although Hyundai Service says they cannot figure it out. Water droplet literally hit my mother in the forehead. The repair shop that worked on the windshield for Hyundai stated that they believe it is coming from the metal between the headliners and wrote this in a letter, Hyundai will not make right by this and I have lost all faith in their vehicles. They fight back and do not take their customer serious. I wouldn’t have spent $55,000 on a car for it to be like this.

Love it...except for one item

Great driving experience, phenomenal acceleration. The ride is a bit hard, but handling is great. My one really significant complaint almost had me filing a Lemon Law suit. For a few months earlier this year, the 12v battery repeatedly drained and the car needed to be jump started. Took it to the dealer shop several times and they were stymied, as was national Hyundai, who could neither suggest a fix nor were willing to take the car back. The NJ Lemon Law department was very helpful, and suggested checking for 3rd party apps that might be pinging the car. It took me a bit to realize that having signed up for PSEG's discounted electricity plan, their 3rd party was pinging the car -- I confirmed with them that they ping it every 30', meaning 48 times per day. After 2-3 days the battery would die. When I cancelled that, the problem resolved (I also turned off the Hyundai app just for good measure). Although the light that signifies the 12v is being charged from the main battery still comes on quite frequently, so there does seem to be an ongoing issue of the battery draining too easily. Plus, PSEG cancelled the discount for Hyundai anyway, saying the quality of the data was inadequate. I was not at all impressed by Hyundai corporate's response, as they did not seem to care about resolving a customer complaint.

Outstanding Comfort, Build Quality, Performance, and Fun to Drive

If you are looking for an EV sedan, look no further. The Ioniq 6 has it all. I've always liked Hyundai. I've purchased (new) two Elantras and one Sonata. But the Ioniq was by far the best decision. Comfort, styling, tech, and fun to drive.
