It has been a great experience, I will never go back to gasoline cars

I love the car. Driving is so smooth, charging on roadtrips is very quick. The only annoying issue was the two SW updates for the 12V battery, as well as the TPMS. But I guess this is expected with new cars. The service at dealerships can be improved, they still lack sufficient knowledge about electric cars. Another point for improvement is the route planning. Please do it like Tesla - I want to see arriving and target departure SOC when charging stations at recommended for a roadtrip. Selecting charging stations can also be made more easy.

Great Choice

Overall, we are delighted with the car. We are almost a year into owning it, and there is little to complain about! The service is also very good and the need for it is minimal. It is very stylish and comfortable to drive.

Love it!

Definitely an easy EV to settle in to. The auto cruise and lane keep/lane change is much better than the Model Y we had. Haven’t experienced phantom braking and it handles stop and go traffic like a champ. Lots of creature comforts, plenty of space for stuff, and charges fast. I do wish Apple CarPlay was wireless- also the nav screen is a little busy, but I’m overall very happy with it.

My 1st year with the IONIQ6

During my year with the new IONIQ 6, I have completely enjoyed the car. The drive modes completely change the dynamics of the vehicle, and I have only come close to being beyond a charge 1 time and that is because Bergstrom Auto Group in Appleton WI stopped allowing the public to stop using their chargers.

Quiet, reliable vehicle so far

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 is a quiet, comfortable car that has a very good driving range, 300 + miles, when driven reasonably. So far, the car has been very reliable. It has had two safety recalls that only involved a software update through a certified dealership. It would have been nice if the software updates could have been pushed through the OTA (over the air) feature. The most impactive issue with the car is that it does not come with a spare tire of any kind, not even a space-saver spare. The emergency tire inflation kit only works if the puncture is small. If the tire has a blowout, you're sitting on the side of the road for quite some time if the blowout occurs in a rural area!

The window buttons and door locks need to bet placed on the doors. The back seats should be heated. I know the heads up in the 25. Should have been on the 24s. I have the ionic 6 limited. The dealers are giving free service for the Ev cars. Should be more than just rotating tires. I love my car. Very difficult to determine how many miles are available. The mile count changes repeatedly. Hard to determine miles unlike the hybrid Sonata limited which I had traded in for my 6.

Smooth Driving. Efficient. Fun to Drive.

Smooth driving and fun to drive. Very efficient and quiet. Has fast acceleration. Charges quickly for an electric vehicle. Recently approved to use Tesla charging. has very attractive styling. Has a long range.

Electronic Glitches are ruining this car.

I have been driving my Ionic 6 for over a year now and since day 1 I have had problems with the front sensor array alarming for no reason. I have had it back to the dealer at least 4 times for the issue and am constantly being told that they "cannot recreate the problem" during their test drives, but it happens every day when I am commuting to work. I have taken (and provided) videos of my repeatedly being stopped in traffic with nothing moving around me when the sensors will falsely alert (red, yellow, green, driver's side, passenger's side, middle - all at different moments). I have repeatedly dinged my reviews and questionaires from Hyundai about this only to never hear anything back. This is incredibly disappointing from a car company who supposedly has very high ratings from JD Power, etc.

Fun and Fast but not reliable

The car drives very well, is fast and has lots of safety features, most of which work as they are supposed to. The car has had 4 recalls and the charging unit has failed, it feels like it is in the shop more than it is in my driveway, which keeps me from giving a full throated endorsement.

Loved until it broke down and I was told 4 months to get the part

Rides really nice, good power, great safety features. Looks good. Everything was going great until 2 months in when it broke down and I was told it would take 4 or more months to get the part (integrated control unit).

Solid EV for anyone

Solid car, reliable, and hits most of the needed spots for a car in its class. I think the trim levels could be adjusted to reach peak trims and luxury to price ratios. I would like to see more customization from these stylish cars and possibly more features.

Goodby internal combustion engine.

I love the car, especially the smooth acceleration and deceleration. Holds the road great. The printed manual is useless. Took a while to figure out how to access many of the features. The non-screen controls on the dashboard are an excellent feature. CarPlay is a little buggy. The wireless updates wipe out the pre selected radio stations—annoying. After the last update cruise control went off s couple of times for no apparent reason. Proximity warning (radar) appear for no apparent reason esp when stopped in traffic. Wind?

I love this fun little car!

I want to be able to afford another one when my lease is up! This car is so fun and reliable. I love the fun features and it is amazing for work. The backseat has an incredible amount of leg room for a small car-even my 6’2” husband fit! The drive is great and “pick up” is awesome-especially in sport mode.

Best car I've ever owned

The Ioniq 6 is more fun to drive than any car I have ever owned. The ride is smooth, acceleration is brisk, the interior is comfortable and well laid out, and the satisfaction of driving by gas pumps for the rest of your life is immeasurable. I drove several EV makes prior to buying the Ioniq 6, and it had the smoothest ride of all. Probably the biggest downsides are poor visibility in the rain and small trunk space. Interior space for driver and passengers is excellent with plenty of head and leg room all the way around. 14 months into ownership I have had zero regrets!

Best vehicle I've ever owned

I love my Ioniq 6, after a year, I've put way more miles on it than I thought I would, because it's such a joy to drive. The EV charging networks are built out, and I've taken a 2,000 mile road trip down the west coast on I-5. By the time I'm ready to stretch my legs, get a coffee, or use the bathroom, after having driven for 3 hours or so, finding a charging station is no problem. The car charges from 20% to 80% in about 17 minutes. Often times that's not even long enough to stretch my legs and get back to the car. For all the benefits of driving and EV, the work of charging the vehicle is a great tradeoff. The car is safe, roomy, efficient, fast, comfortable, and it was affordable. I take the car up to the mountains, I've bought cargo from Home Depot, Ikea, and Costco with no worries, thanks to the huge back seat and the length of the car. If I sometimes have to wait for a charger, it's ok for me, because of all the benefits of owning an EV. This is just a great car. Anyone that has worries about charging or other issues, if you are willing to give it a chance, you will find it's a great tradeoff to spend a little more time "filling up" for all the benefits. If you can install a Level 2 charger in your house (meaning, you have enough capacity to install a new 220 volt plug), it becomes a total game changer and you almost never have to charge in public, you just wake up in the morning, the car is ready to go. If you have to charge using Electrify America or other networks, this is the fastest charging mid-price vehicle on the market today, as I mentioned above. I love his vehicle, and I enjoy driving it ever time I get in it.

Favorite car of everybody in the family

The Ioniq 6 immediately became the entire family's favorite car. Fun to drive, quiet, plenty of room for passengers, and enough range to make longer road trips workable. Our only complaints are that the driving assist sensors sometimes fail out for around 5 minutes at the beginning of a drive - we suspect fogging - and that wireless Android Auto isn't available, only wired. Overall, though, we love it.

Nice car to look at but think twice about owning one

The Ioniq 6 is a nice looking car, super fast (too fast!), and one of the nicest looking EVs, but looks are deceiving. It supposedly has a long range battery but in reality, this is a vehicle for short trips in town. You can watch the power drop significantly while you drive. Sure it charges to 80% in 20 mins, but what they don’t tell you is that there aren’t enough charging stations throughout cities/ counties/ state to charge them. If you happen to find a charging station, you better have time to wait an hour or so just to connect. You can get the L2 charger at home but they need to provide it as part of the car. It’s not feasible for everyone. So now I have a car that sits in my driveway because charging it is such a hassle.
