Great vehicle

I loved almost everything about this car. The exterior and interior looks were great, interior usability was great, the infotainment was intuitive and fast, and the car was fun to drive. My only pain point was a very frustrating bug where the accessory battery would not charge when the main vehicle battery was below a certain threshold. That stranded me at home twice. That was the only paint point I had with that car. Had my family not had the need for a larger vehicle, I absolutely would have leased a new model.

Love the safety features and style

If it's made in South Korea, it's an awesome product. And that holds true for the Ioniq 6. The design style is superior, turning heads wherever I went. There are many safety features that are easy to learn and apply. I wish the seat comfort, ride comfort, and wind noise were better which were minimally acceptable. Hyundai needs to conquer "range anxiety" for it to be a long distance car.

12 volt battery died early. NACS connector promised, NO DELIVERY!!

Very nice car, handles well, 12 volt battery died at 17000 miles, Company promised a NACS adapter but never deviled after two calls to them. Shame on you.

Ionic 6 is great car to drive but lacking in technology.

The car is comfortable to drive but it is lacking when comes to technology. Build quality of the car is good and it feels solid. The mobile application does not work well (I am told it is built by a third party) and the navigation and charging is just bad and thus my average rating. Maps in the navigation system are outdated even though I have the most recent download. The carplay is great but you have to connect your phone with wire to USB-A port which is inconvenient. I do like that the Ionic 6 has a balance of touch screen and physical buttons which make it easy to operate.

Perfect for retired

I am a retired female with grandkids. Two of my four grandkids lived 35 miles away and I see them often. Ball games, dance lessons, golf, matches, etc. require a lot of short driving distances. This is the perfect vehicle. Someone the other day asked me was it a Porsche?

Love the car, not sure about the service

Love most things about the car, comfortable, spacious and delightful to drive. Getting it serviced is a pain to set up. Seems fine once the appointment is made, although it never seems the service people always fully understand the product. This applies to our Volvo plug in hybrid as well.

I love my car, but I wish the charging system was a bit better. At times, there can be long wait times and I wish there was more mileage. Also, the car is an expensive car.. Paying for charging also adds up.

Why I gave this 5 star car 4 stars

I love this car. There are just a few character flaws with it that have hampered my 2 years of living with it. My biggest complaint deals with the wheel sizing and how it is locked to trim levels. The 20" wheels on the SEL and Limited don't offer enough sidewall for the poor quality roads of the Midwest. I've had 3 tires get their sidewalls cut due to potholes and the lack of sidewall the 20" wheels offer. The 20 " wheels also reduce the range a significant amount and offer worse ride than the 18" wheels from the lower trims. The 18" wheels should be offered on the SEL and Limited as an option at least. If you check the forums and reddit pages, you'll find a not insignificant amount of people who are swapping out the 20" wheels for more efficient, narrower wheel/tire packages. Please also consider doing the same for the Ioniq 5 trim levels. The only other issue I have encountered is that the Syntex material on the piping of the driver's seat is peeling off. I'm quite gentle on my cars ( My last being a MK5 Golf for 14 years) and have taken good care of my Ioniq 6 but the piping started to peel within 6 months. Of course, it's not covered by the warranty but this is not normal wear and a quick online search will show you many others with the same issue. Besides these 2 issues, the car has been great. Sure, the sound system is sub-par (I wish you would offer an upgrade on all trim levels) and the parking sensors go on the fritz almost every time you're at a light, but it drives great and is comfortable. That's about the best you could ask for in a daily driver. P.S. - Could you look at offering a towing package for the Ioniq 6? One of the reasons Sedan sales are so low is that almost all manufacturers don't recommend or explicitly tell you not to tow with your sedan. Offering this on the Ioniq 6 with just like 2000 lbs of towing would help it stand out.
