Misleading and not customer focused

Don’t purchase the vehicle if you are looking for a vehicle that is supported by the company. With my previous car which was a Tesla. I was very impressed and satisfied with it.

Comfortable, quick, controls that make sense. Love it!

Very well designed touring vehicle. I drive about 17k miles annually around a major metropolitan city, and the Ioniq saves me nearly $4000 annually in fuel costs alone. At 6'2" tall, do not have to put the driver's seat all the way back, and have head-room to spare. Hyundai has figured out all the tactile details. Great design abounds; even the overhead reading light is just a swipe - one doesn't have to find THE exact button. Great overall build quality. The Highway Drive Assist is beyond. Works SO well - I find myself keeping the lane assist on most of the time. The regeneration system is well designed. I get far above the range estimates using regenerative braking - easily 350 miles of range, sometimes more. This includes plenty of "highway" driving on the freeways in this metropolitan area. Often 4.5 mi/kWh. I have evolved to 1-pedal driving for most of my driving except very slow speeds when preparing to park. Even the single-motor is fun! No oil changes. No brake-fluid flushes. No transmission fluid changes. No coolant system fluid that becomes caustic. Doesn't emanate heat after having been driven and parked. Special, but anyone can figure out how to drive it with less than 1-minute of "training." Love it.

Best car I’ve ever owned

While it’s not a perfect car — the lack of a preconditioning control is annoying — it is easily the nicest car I have ever owned. We chose it specifically because i) it is a sedan, low enough to the ground for my wife to transfer from her wheelchair without assistance; ii) the trunk is deep enough to fit her wheelchair; iii) it has enough range and a great charging curve for road trips; iv) the interior is minimal without being spartan. We have yet to have any mechanical problems.

An unexpected incident happened was hitting my mail box when I backed up from my garage at night. The was no warning light, no warning signal, and auto stop. I think the back detection system missed certain angle or elevation. That caused me a substantial body repair bill. The others are the functions and instruction are too complex especially for senior to learn. I suggest the manual should highlight certain essential features first such as self-park (driver inside and outside) and assisted self-park. Other than that the car drives well.

Good though battery fluctuates in winter.

In summer, the battery gets well over 300 miles per charge, that drops to just over 200 in the winter. There is also a big difference city and highway, with much less battery life in the highway.

Love the car. Need to improve Blue-tooth for automatic cellphone connection. Also enable leaving the charge port to be unlocked remotely and/or left unlocked if the owner desires. This allows someone to put on or pull out the charge plug as needed.

Great and Not So Good

Good looking vehicle both exterior and interior. Easy and fast charging. Decent range (although more like 280 vs. the 305 advertised). Technology is cool, but some warning systems are far too sensitive. The car is continually beeping at me and all friends riding in car for first time comment on how annoying this is. Sitting at a stop, alarms randomly go off for front of vehicle, then left front, then right front, even though I'm not moving and neither is anybody else. Suspension could be better. It is jarring going over a bumpy road.

Great EV but software needs to improve

I enjoy driving the Ioniq 6. It's roomy, comfortable in ride and has great styling. However, there are several areas that need to be improved. First, the proximity warning is annoying. Whether the car is stationary near or away from other cars, it will randomly beep and show green, yellow or red warning on screen. It happens every time. Dealer said there is nothing they can do. Other brands apparently don't have this kind of problem. Secondly, the over the air software upgrade system serves no purpose. In my three years of ownership, it was only activated about 2 - 3 times to update the entertainment system. I still had to take the car in to have other software updates.

Love this car!

My Hyundai is the neatest looking car ever! Many people mistake it for a Porsche! It is sporty, works great, and really needs no care, except to recharge is about every 2 weeks. Excellent warranty.
