Overall a great car, with a few minor annoyances
Overall a great car, and I'm very happy with it. It drives and handles well, with fantastic acceleration. (Cornering isn't as good - it's a heavy car.) Range is good. Fast-charge rates are fantastic. Overnight at-home charging is fantastic. The controls are well-organized. The cruise control and lane-keeping and lane-changing features are a game-changer for my long commute. Plenty of space for my tall family and our stuff. I like how it looks.
A few complaints:
* The wireless charging pad is nearly useless, because it is slow and it overheats. There needs to be less thickness between the actual coils and the phone - there's too many layers now. And magsafe would be a huge improvement.
* The boot-up message with the countdown timer is slow and annoying. 95% of the time it's just me driving, and it doesn't need to wait for me to confirm it. It should be able to tell from which key was used.
* The remote start / remote climate features need work, especially for third-party integrations. There's basically no good way to configure the car to turn on the climate at the end of my workday, between the car deciding that it won't do it because it's not on the charger, or limiting how long it runs, or doing it in some sort of low-power mode for third-party integrations. This seems like such a simple idea, and it seems like they tried to make it work, but it just doesn't actually work, in practice.
