Ideal combination of comfort and sportiness
A lively, enjoyable drive, especially when you disconnect the automatic stablization (a simple push of a button) and are then able to use the 295 ft lbs of torque generated by the Coupe's 348hp engine. The drive train, a reminiscent return to the days of rear wheel drive, smoothly transfers the power from the 3.8 V6 to the back wheels allowing you to easily use the torque to steer you around corners.
The normal ride is stiff, this is a sports car after all, but not as stiff as I've experienced in other more dedicated sport car designs. The smooth roads in the USA make this an easy car to drive in comfort, with only minor discomfort transversing slight dips and bumps and only if you are traveling at speed. The steering and turning radius makes it nimble in small spaces if you need to turn tighter, just disconnect the stability control and use your available engine torque.
The rear seat is unusable for anyone over 5 ft 2ins, but after all, rear seats are not expected in sports cars. Also, the trunk is great for the single owner/driver; golfing; going overseas for vacation but anything more, or family orientated, just will not fit.
The Genesis, on long drives, rides smoothly, accelerates quicker than expected and gives the driver a comfortable driving position to enjoy the trip.
