The Perfect Equus
This is the best car we have ever owned, and we've owned many over 48 years. This is the car we had decided to replace my husband's car with and from now on the only vehicles we were going to purchase until we heard they no longer will produce them, which we found unbelievable, and quite ridiculous. We were told it was because they didn't sell well. They didn't sell well because nobody knew what they were/are. We have had ours 4 years now and people are still asking us what they are. They are not and never have been advertised except during one super bowl and one other big event back in 2013. We found this to be poor advertising but we're told there was a reason and that was because they were only allotting 200 a year to be sold nationwide. That made sense to us with that knowledge. Now we read in the paper they are discontinuing Equus and upgrading the Genesis (that we use each time we take our car in for warranty check) and find it to be very inadequate compared to the ride of the Equus. The look of the Equus and the size of the Equus. I will not go down in quality. When the Equus is no longer produced, which is a big mistake on Hundais part, I will purchase either the big Lexus or another of this type, but not the Genesis. They need to rethink this before they, indeed, make a huge mistake that cannot be rectified. And if they do continue to make the Equus, they need to let us know ahead of time so we don't purchase another car in the meantime. I do want to reiterate, I don't care what they add to the Genesis, I will not purchase it. In 4 years, my car has had no work done on it other than company recall. It's that good a car. Excellent, and since I've owned it I have loved everything about it as has my husband, our son, my best friend and everyone else that rides with us regularly. To discontinue it makes no sense since you never gave it a chance by advertising it first.
