Perfect auto for commuting to work and short trips
I was looking for a dependable, comfortable, smaller car with great fuel economy for my daily commute to work. I'm getting approximately 29/41 MPG. I have driven this car for two years and have been extremely pleased. 2018 was probably one of Hyundai's best years for their Value Edition Elantra. The Value Edition trim level was only about $1,200 more and came with Fog lamps, USB & Aux, power sun roof, auto dimming mirror with garage opener, key less lighted entry and start/stop, heated front seats, dual auto climate control, Blutooth, touch screen with android Auto / iCar Play integration, blind spot detection (Visual and audio) and smart trunk. This is not a car I would recommend for bad weather driving, but as a second car it is my preferred vehicle to drive in normal weather conditions. Reliability is a major concern for me, and I was impressed with the power train and bumper to bumper warranty Hyundai attaches to all of it's new vehicles. The car is very comfortable for a driver and one passenger. Plenty of room in the front. However this is a compact sedan, so don't expect the back seat to be very comfortable or roomy for passengers who are above average size.
The trunk is adequate, and I like the cargo net, however it does make getting other items in and out of the trunk a little difficult since it does cut down the space between the top of the net and the top of the trunk. Bottom line a would highly recommend this vehicle for anyone who is looking for an affordable compact sedan.
