Fun vehicle.
Gt Sport 1.6L Turbo.
It's not a Golf GTI or Focus ST fighter. It's not so much a "hot-hatch" as it is a warm hatch. But that doesn't mean it cannot hold it's own. It is zippy. Picks up speed rather quick. Got myself into trouble, seeing what it can do, on my second month of ownership.
May not have as refined as a GTI interior, but surely better than an ST. You have to love the red accents on the black interior. Infotainment system is easy to use. Apple Play and Android Auto.
This car can be pretty nimble. Handles well in turns and windy roads. Grips the corners very well, in my opinion. Turning off traction controls allows you to have fun. In sport mode, the car is very responsive. The DCT with paddle shifters isn't the fastest out there, but it is not slow either.
The car's exterior looks great. It doesn't look aggressive, but very nice. Full LED headlights and markers make it better. A nice, rather on the quiet side, dual exhaust makes the car look sporty and good. So far, no issues with the car at 16k. Hopefully it stays that way for years to come.
Really wish Hyundai would bring the i30N over stateside.
My only complaints are the electronic parking brake (I knew full well before a bought it, but I wanted the car anyway).
The fact that in automatic, for the sake of fuel efficiency, gears are changed too early, even in sport mode.
Overall: great value for the money.
