Feature packed and solid build quality

I've owned my GV60 for 2 years now and I've had very little issues with the car. There are a lot of useful features inside and the charging experience has been great, in no small part due to the fast charging capability of the car. The one major thing I wish was that the range was higher, which a simple change could help by making the standard vehicle with 18" wheels, advanced with 19" wheels, and performance with 20" wheels (1" smaller than the current wheel options).

Second time

I hoped to receive comments from Genesis about having only one dealer to sell and service San Diego County's 3,400,000 population??? It takes a long time to get an appointment there and loaner cars are generally not available.

Genesis GV60 Advanced 2023

I have really enjoyed my GV60 since June 2023! I have loved the luxury comforts , though I do have to mention the firm ride across every road except the smooth new asphalt . I suppose the recommended 36psi on Michelin touring tires are to blame for the rough road and the 45 width for the squealing through spirited curves.

Nice until it breaks

A unique looking vehicle, comfortable, luxurious, and fast! Fits my MTB with seats down and front wheel removed from bike. The ICCU issue is ridiculous and there doesn’t appear to be a long term fix. Be prepared to have your vehicle towed on a semi-regular basis, then no vehicle for weeks while they wait for back ordered parts. Maybe if you are lucky you might get an call from the dealer when it’s fixed.

Concerns Regarding Vehicle Repair Quality

I appreciate the attempt to repair the damage, but I have to be honest—the door now looks worse than it did before. What was originally a gouge now appears to have been heated and melted, leaving the area looking distorted. One section of the door jamb seems to have been repaired properly, but another area still shows visible damage. My service adviser sent me an email with photos of the attempted repair, asking if I considered the work acceptable. My response to her was similar to what I’m sharing here: no, the repairs are not acceptable. It’s disappointing that Genesis would consider this level of work acceptable, especially since the damage occurred while the vehicle was in for warranty service. I have before-and-after photos and am happy to share them if needed.

Fun car to drive with lots of class and technology

My GV60 is fun to drive. It has great pickup and grips the curves. The steering is sure and precise. I really like the Apple CarPlay working with my phone, it works seamless. There is lots of safety tech that have saved me from bumping into cars in the parking lot, detects pedestrians behind me, and kept me from changing lanes into passing cars. The cabin is comfortable for the long drive. I have taken it for a 1400 mile road trip and my body felt relaxed. The infotainment center is intuitive and I like all the buttons on the console for reaching the most used functions.

Transitioning to an EV is a "Learning Experience". I'm still learning.

Where to start? The good things about this car are great. The bad things about this car might make it undesirable by many individuals. The good things? There are lots of them. The quiet ride (even at highway speeds), the power which provides a distinct safety factor when passing trucks on 2 lane roads; the clean smell of a vehicle that doesn't store gasoline and motor oil; the convenience and cleanliness of not having to fuel up at gas stations; the convenience of Genesis connected services; the reliability of electric motors that should be much more reliable than vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. Now to the bad parts: Traveling outside my local area is a challenge. If my wife and I are going more than 75 miles (150 round trip) an argument normally occurs about which car to drive. And yes, she has a right to her complaints. While we have never been stranded, we have added HOURS to a trip by seeking and finding a place to charge the car for the rest of our trip home. The lack of charging stations is not the car's fault. It seems that it would be rather simple to put 6 to 12 EV charging stations in every interstate rest area. It must be too expensive or too complicated because, at least in FL, I have never seen one in a rest area. And the reliability of the chargers is another problem. My early experience with EV chargers was awful; my estimate is that fewer than 50% of the EV chargers worked That number has gradually improved. I don't travel enough to get a large sample but I would say the failure rate is now between 20 and 25 percent. And, I'm sure there are good reasons for that failure rate. Tesla chargers have a much lower failure rate. I have been waiting for my Tesla charger adapter for over a year now. I was told to expect it in the 4th quarter of 2024. That passed without an explanation. When I called in January, 2025, I was told to expect it in the first quarter. That passed, too. I kept calling. Emails started to arrive. It's coming and they will be sent out in the order in which your car was purchased. I purchased mine in December, 2022. A friend bought his in August, 2023. He's had his adapter for months. I still don't have mine. Order of purchase? Apparently, that order is not being followed. So, the car is great; The range and lack of charging facilities is this cars downfall. I've followed it's resale or trade in value. It's dropped like a rock. I would have been much better served to lease this car. I'd be driving a new one now for less money. Oh well. That's life. I'm 77 now; I've been driving for 61 years. I can't remember the number of cars I've owned, leased or borrowed. This car is the best I've ever driven. I bought it with the belief that it would be my last car. Even with the warts, she's still a beauty.

An Excellent EV

After two years, I can say that the Genesis GV60 Advance version is the perfect size for an elderly couple with two guests in the spacious back seats. The cargo area behind the rear seats is more than adequate for Big Box trips. The EV is very comfortable, amazingly quiet and is extremely responsive. The technology that goes into this vehicle is mind-boggling. I never tire of using all the features offered by this EV. Yes, I've had to take it into the dealer for adjustments to the ICCU, the 12V battery and a few enhancements. In every case the dealer provided me with a Genesis loaner, and in very instance, the vehicle was upgraded without incident.

Athletic Elegance

It has the look and the luxury elements with techno-friendly features. Still need to work on the overall Driving Dynamics and Ride-comfort as the car seems to be bopping even on smooth roads, jarring on rough or road imperfections.
