Gas mileage is far below advertised. Otherwise fantastic truck

I am very disappointed in the gas mileage of my 2018 F-150 Eco-boost of an otherwise awesome truck. Reality is about 16-17 mpg combined driving average. All highway you can expect 18-22 mpg. These are all empty weight averages. If I place it in "Eco" mode and really watch my driving habits I can get 18 mph average. Mind you I am most likely paying more attention trying to get better gas mileage than enjoying driving my truck in this mode. Maybe change the chip to remain in the 20's mpg for combined driving.

No carpet..no cargo hooks..small 27 Gallon gas tank..thought STX was an Upgrade from XL..I was wrong. Should have kept my 2015 F150 CL.

My King Ranch

I love all the bells and whistles on my King Ranch with the exception of the engine turning off automatically at long signals. It slightly jerks the truck and is annoying. Yes, you can turn it off everytime you get in the truck, but I always forget. It would be better to have the feature off unless I want to turn it on.

Ford F150 Lariat Crew Cab

This is my seventh ford pickup and it is a nice vehicle but overpriced. Doors that open and close reliably should be a simple engineering feat that Ford cannot seem to master. I have already experienced problems with the door locks not functioning and allowing entry. I had the same problem with my 2015 F150. The new sync 3 is a step backwards. It is slower than the previous version and unimpressive.

My New 2018 Ford F-150 EcoBoost

The new trucks are mind blowing compared to my old 2003 F-350 Dually. So many computerized systems. The ride is softer than my wife's Subaru. The size difference between the F-350 Crew Cab 8 foot bed and the F-150 Crew Cab short bed is taking sometime to get used to. The new truck is considerable more easy to handle in traffic. I am anxious to see and feel how it handles on snow packed and icy roads. My road increases in elevation by 250 feet in less than 1/2 mile with tight curves. The F-350 with studded tires in 4-wheel drive was slightly squirrelly.

Almost five stars

Very good truck. It would have had a five star rating if it had a LSD rear differential. An open differential in northern Minnesota doesn’t work well in the winter.

A dream come true.

Wow - a truck that is full sized and competes with my mid-sized SUV for fuel economy and well, wins in every way imaginable. Twin turbo 2.7 litre has amazing power without bleeding you dry at the pumps. Military grade all aluminum body. Not speak rattle or thump from this excellently manufactured truck. I, seriously, could not be happier. At 55 years old I'm looking for reason to go out and drive it. Yes, it's that great. With end of the year savings of over 10k, it was 35k at 0% interest and everyone in my family wants to drive it. Ty, Ford Motor company, for making a truck that gets looks and is simply amazing. S.H. 2018 f150 XLT Sport 5.0 Supercab

My f150 is equipped with V-8 and fords new 10spd automatic and 3.55 gears, It also has the optional 38gal tank along with the sport package. Once out of Seattle I observed the average gas mpg continue to climbing until I got to Chattaroy Wa. 21.7mpg. with 900 miles on it. Towed my dump trailer after 1200miles and averaged 11.4 on a 40 mile over mixed terrain and steep Hill. Empty on the way back 16.7mpg. Power@handling are outstanding. With a 12ft double axle trailer empty 0-60 in 11.5 seconds. Did O-90 in under 26 seconds! All in all it's not hard to get over 21mpg with this truck.

Could have done better.

Love the truck. Truck pulls my trailer great. Alright on fuel. Thing that upsets me is can’t put a plow on it. The other big problem is I feel the trans slipping from 3rd gear to 4th. I don’t like the dealer I bought it from.

Great truck

Love my truck, good gas mileage for a large V8 vehicle. Average 22 mpg on a longer trip. 19 in town, if I drive sanely. Lots of power. Lots of interior space on full size 4 door.

Best truck I’ve owned

All of my buddies have always swore by Chevy’s and Toyota’s and I’ve driven theirs and nothing comes close to the power and fuel mileage of my 2018 f-150. I’d highly recommend at least a test drive of one if you’re looking for a new truck.
