Constant Repairs

Had over $5000 in various repairs. Nothing major, but $1000 here and there. Mainly repairing leaks…. This gasket and that hose. Having to replace all the radiator hoses because of leak in one. Not to mention a connection of the hoses costing$$$. 2 water pumps at less than 175k miles. With what you pay for them, you would think they would last longer…..

Mostly Excellent!

Bought this 2016 F150 in 2020 and immediately had to replace the entertainment system and had two fuel sensors fail. Discovered the “limp home” feature. Since that anguish I have problem free. Great on long trips, pulling the boat and hauling loads of gravel. Limited seat adjustments and no Driver 2 memory settings, but it fits me fine (6’1”, 200 lbs). A true work horse.

Do t recommend this vehicle

I e had a ford my entire life and the past two trucks that I own have not been good. The 2016 f150 has had to have a new throttle body, new transmission, new radiator and new water cooler within 1 year of owning. Stayed in the shop for almost one year. I won’t ever buy for again.

A great truck, but expensive to maintain

My F-150 does the work of a 3/4 ton truck, without the massive footprint. I've never had it not start or break down on me, but repairs are pricey. Living in the Midwest is tough on vehicles - salt, bad roads, cold, etc. I love my truck, but I wish it got better than 17 MPG. I have two large dogs, and the F-150 is large on the inside and comfortable for all of us. I think if I were asked to say what I might change, I would have gotten the 5L V8 engine instead of the EcoBoost V6.

I told my family and friends when I buy a new car I’m buying a truck. I looked at everything from cheesy Chevys to Over rated Rams. NO contest, after a year plus looking and stalking Cronin FORD and Julie a remarkable salesperson and other dealerships I bought the 2016 F150 new. Has like 90,000 mikes and it’s a sweet ride. I assure you I made the right decision. Z looks as good as the day Zi drove it off the lot. That ls what I do. Have a 2011 Edge looking great as well. Be well, be wise, buy Ford!

Excellent truck, extremely reliable

Mine is an uncommon build, long bed and crew cab Lariat with the heavy tow package, bought from a Ford lease return with 24k miles. At 130,000 miles now it is still a great value with only the scheduled maintenance and will pull a 7x12 dumptrailer loaded with ease. While towing a full load the mileage in big hills isn't awesome; but when commuting it is respectable, and it has a ton of torque.

Best truck we ever owned

We go everywhere in our truck. It's like a luxury sedan with so many extra features, like 4-wheel drive, great carrying capacity, towing capability and so much more! It is reliable, comfortable and we have had NO mechanical trouble. Truly a gem!

Didn’t take me long to NOT like this truck! Finally I hydroplaned on freeway and hit the wall! Reduced my speed as there was a down pour happening and out of the blue seen rear end of truck coming around I tried to counter steer and shot right into the wall

It would be easier to list what hasn’t broken. Frozen door locks, frozen windshield washers, sticking window switches. Poorly designed O2 sensors, direct injection that fouls everything. Oil consumption of 1 at per 450 miles and coolant consumption of 1 gal per 400 miles. Constant rough idle. I have owned 3 other Ford trucks with no issues. This one, however, is literally the worst vehicle ever produced. Quite honestly, it makes the Yugo look like an engineering marvel.

Electrical gremlins

There's alot of electronic, and sensors. The truck has a "limp" mode where it just shuts down if a sensor fails. Leaves you stranded, in the bush, on the highway, the truck just shuts down. Never buy another one.

Has been a great truck

I bought the truck new, have almost 60000 miles on it and only problem I've had was when something got under the hood and chewed a wiring harness to an air nflow sensor in to.

Best truck in 25 years!

I have had many new trucks in the last 25 years. I have always traded or turned in leases when the warranty is up. Not this time. This one is a keeper. 60,000 miles with NO issues. Oil, tires, and brakes are the only things replaced. One tough truck!

Love my King Ranch

I've only had it about a year and a half but so far so good. It's got the 5L Coyote engine with the 6 speed transmission I get around 15+ local driving, I'm retired. Recently my wife and I went to Mackenac island and I got 18 MPG. I try and take the highway as much as possible.

Almost Perfect

The interior and exterior design is great The twin turbo is a plus with the small 6 it will still move out when needed. Two problems with accessories. The full Moon roof option Leaks real bad and it has been fixed once and it needs to be repaired again. The tri-fold bed cover was great at first but it doesn’t hold up if you plan to do any work out of your truck. The tri-fold was bought thru the dealer and is not a Ford product. The built-in navigation system that was used in the 2016 truck is terrible. I am still very satisfied with the FORD F-150.

Good truck with some minor electrical issues. Overall, very pleased.

I purchased the 2016 F150 new and am currently at ~110k miles with no major issues or having the truck leave me anywhere. The engine V6 turbo really moves, and I've had no issues hauling heavy loads (e.g., very large wood chipper). The driver and passenger seats could be a little more comfortable for long drives, but they are not terrible. The only minor issue I've had is electrical - both rear window motors have gone (1 in warranty, 1 outside warranty) even with very limited use, and the radio very infrequently stops working (usually on a day where there was a lot of rain, but this is inconsistent). These are minor annoyances that wouldn't stop me from purchasing another F150, because I really like the truck otherwise.

Solid Truck

I've owned my 2016 since I drove it off the lot brand new. 85,000 miles now and aside from normal wear and tear, I've had no issues. Every Ford I've bought has always been reliable and I would definitely consider buying another
