We do run electrical and engine diagnostics on vehicles that have known issues or as requested to find out a potential problem; the test is not run every time a vehicle is in for service, however this can be requested with every service. Cabin filter check should be done on every appointment and should include the removal of the filter to show every customer the condition; sometimes they can just be gently wiped off and other times they do need replaced. The removal (typically behind the glove compartment) of the filter as well as a full inspection of fluids, belts, hoses, tires, brakes and alignment should all be part of your overall inspection report.
We apologize if our service advisor did not clearly explain the services and did not provide you with the proper inspection. We will make sure your advisor Samantha is re-instructed as to the proper procedure and details of duties. It is never our intent to sell, offer or suggest any part or service that is not necessary for the operation or safety of the vehicle and customer. .
