While it was great to start, the CVT in the earlier Rogue models was and is unreliable. Had to have a transmission replaced at a hundred thousand miles, it has been well-maintained, so there's no reason for that. The CV boots give out fairly quickly as well, so if you're going to buy one, set aside some money to replace them. You are better off just going with a RAV4 or a CRV for the reliability element. Nissan make some great cars, but their small SUV offering is lackluster. And don't even get me started on the claustrophobic interior.
