Good vehicle with plastic flaws

The overall appearance of the car is good, exterior specifically. The interior, however, seems to be a low end "plastic" build of what you would see in your base-line economy cars. The dash and door panels are hard plastic that could've been replaced/fitted with that of what you see in the elantra or sonata. Really in any other hyundai vehicle. Good engine performance and responsiveness. Transmission seems clunky when it downshifts at lower rpms. It also lunges and lugs bad when you have it in 1st gear(in a DCT) and you aren't on the gas any

Performance meets practicality!

Want a Porsche, but can’t justify the price or practicality? Like tuned performance of a BMW, but want to be able to afford food? The Veloster N is a driver’s car at an extremely affordable price. I smile every time I drive it, and I’ve owned Porsches, BMW’s, and even raced Lotus sports cars. This car needs no additional aftermarket performance parts, because Hyundai designed and built it perfect for the performance driver.

The Vehicle was fantastic while I had it

For the 3 months I had it, it was the second best vehicle I've ever had behind my 2022 Hyundai Elantra N. Unfortunately it was considered a total loss due to a flood that had happened in September, 2022.

Truly fun car to drive

The Veloster N is one of the most fun to drive vehicles money can buy. Handles well, enough power to feel quick, tons of adjustability, and sounds great. The car has a ton of personality and competes very well against cars costing 2x more.

Great car and value. The only car I think think of that offers a fast responsive DCT shifts at a great price that’s not a porche PDK. Interior isn’t the most premium but the touch points use good materials. Great performance from the steering and engine.

Fun fun fun

I need a car that is fun to drive and the Veloster N provides that, plus 99% of the usability I will ever need from a car. Just driving it to the grocery store will put a smile on your face. I am so glad that the N unit of Hyundai is paying attention to enthusiasts and keep providing manual transmissions.

It would be great…

Everything would be perfect but I ran into an issue with the transmission and trying to get it fixed has taken so far over 8 months to try and fix. Ive tried filing a complaint. Still haven’t received a response from my first one. I’ve sent 3.

Worried about reliability. Poor dealer service

I don't drive far from home because my car has a defective high pressure transmission pump. The so-called "fix" was to simply reprogram the limp mode so I can clear the roadway. Other owners report catastrophic engine failures, so I'm worried about that too. The dealership made a mess of the "free" oil change by using a low IQ mechanic who overfilled the sump and then tried to cover it up. I am disappointed with the level of competency at the dealership.

Veloster N Hot Hatch

So much fun to drive!! And a gas saver in eco mode. This car has everything you need all in 1 package. I have had this sporty hot hatch for over a year now. I love driving it. My favorite is the custom N mode where I am fully in control of all adjustments and power to the wheels. Such an amazing product. 10/10 recommend this Sporty Hot Hatch

My Veloster is so much fun

So much fun to drive and great gas mileage. Plus reliability. Everything I want in a car. It includes maps, phone integration, paddle shifters, different driving modes such as sport, normal and eco. Also visual monitors of your gas consumption, tire pressure etc.

Vehicle is great dealership not so much

Most fun for the price. I wish dealers were better. This is my second veloster and i am very happy with it. I get compliments on it all the time especially the color. The technology is super easy to use i havent had issues so far.

Fun car!

Overall I love driving this car more than any car I've owned. Kind of worried about the clutch though. The sound experience is amazing, but the car's performance is even better. Still wish sound system accepted physical media but I'm old.

Everything is great, I Love the Turbo, the front lights and the paint job. I also love the Handling of the car, the paint, and the camerras.

The vehicle runs smoothly and I like how I'm in normal its quiet and when it's ok Turbo it's loud and fast. The only problem with this front wheel drive is that if you drive too aggressive, your tires go out in about 4 months.

The highlights of BMW performance hidden under Hyundai Badging

I grew up in a family of E36 and E46s and went to Bimmerfest and enjoyed the golden age of BMW performance. I was hoping to get a BMW as a new car, but was largely unimpressed; they're just heavy clunky cars now. Meanwhile, the Veloster N has useful driver modes, handles well, and sounds great without being obnoxious.

Reason for Discontinuing

The Veloster N was the revised version of the Veloster Turbo discontinued after 2017, and if you are looking to buy one, you will be horribly enlightened. The 2017 Turbo had fantastic leather seats, better designed doors with soft touch materials, and much more pleasing center console. Ironically, Hyundai removed ALL of that for some bewildering reason. The N only has cloth seats, which are impossible to keep clean compared to leather or pleather, extremely CHEAP hard plastics everywhere, and a bizarrely intruding right side ( console ) wall. Reality is reality. The entire car was redesigned, but unnecessarily. 275 HP is NOWHERE near enough to demand $ 34,000 dollars. You can get a 4 cyl Camaro for $26k,or a Mustang with over 300. Hyundai shot itself in the foot instantly pricing the N over $ 28 grand. EVERY review you read because there are hundreds of used N's online for sale, say the same thing In just did. *Like morons, Hyundia is doing the same thing to the Kona N now. It will be gone in 2 years.

10k miles in, no mechanical issues. Fun, sporty, good looking car. Aftermarket performance support if you're interested. Ideal car for young individuals or family of 3. Seating gets cramped with 4 or more.

Ridiculously fun car to drive. Good mpg, fast, and looks really good.

This car is incredibly fun to drive. I literally laugh out loud when I accelerate hard and it snaps and pops between gears. It looks great, gets good mileage, handles like a go cart, and costs less than the competition. Considering how fun and fast it is, I don't think it can be matched for the cost.

Quick and nimble Mario Cart

The Veloster N is a fun little track car. It's really easy to dive fast so you really have to be mindful while driving it not to speed. In the corners it feels like you are on rails. My only real complaint is the bad breaks, that feel cheap and under powered. The seats are really comfy to me. The styling is very nice and aggressive. Over all its a great car and I'm glad I bought it. The price for a car like this was fantastic. You usually find these track focused features in cars that cost 10-15k more. If you want a daily driver that's also a fun weekend car then this is right up your alley.
