Best Valued Compact SUV
I really enjoy driving my SEL Plus Tucson, it’s very comfortable and handles not only the road but its bumps very well. The promotional offers Hyundai runs for their SUVs are what really pulled me in compared to Toyota and Honda, 19 with a brand new car that isn’t leased out. My compliants are the “weaker” 2.5L motor and the feature cut offs per trim, yes I understand the more you pay the more you get, but something like Kia, their “sister” company, the vehicles comes fitted with parking sensors in all trims and most models, while Hyundai has it pay walled to Premium and Limited trims. They shell the vehicle to have speakers in the trunk and on the dashboard, but only include it in the limited trims which leaves hollow space, on board navigation is still locked to the higher trims when most cars are fitted with it now, they had a feature in a previous year available to all trims, then 2026 they locked it to the higher end trims. The puddle lights on the side mirrors, LED indicators on the tip of the side mirrors, auto fold mirrors, still using halogen for tail lights on lower trims instead of using LEDs on all trims compared to locking it behind a price point, along with adding a empty red reflector that goes across the hatch door instead of the LED light bar that’s locked to once again, the higher trims with LEDs in them. If you need a vehicle that’s for A to B, to show off something that looks luxurious, looks like a fancier RAV4, then this is the car for you.
