Dangerous Sudden Braking
I've now had four episodes (3 different people driving) due to sudden stops for no reason; close calls for accident. It leaves people in other cars angry and it is a scary feeling because you yourself don't know what happened. It's happened 3 times driving forward; 2 in regular flowing traffic (not bumper to bumper), 1 pulling out of gas station - sudden stopped the car with my front end in the road. I had enough time to get the car backed up but just enough and other car honked in frustration. The last occurance happened on December 30, 2025 trying to back into a parking space. A tree on one side and empty spot on the other and it slammed on brakes. Mind you, we've only had the car since September 2, 2025. So in 3 months there have been 4 occurances. Hyundai's Lemon Law Dept - Recommended that I shut off logic every time I get in the car which takes a couple of steps as I understand it and you have to remember to do this every time you get in the car (frustrating as that is) but if you do this you will lose the more simple logic like lane switching and car next to you. For this reason and the blind spots on the car, I didn't want to lose that functionality. So no, I didn't pay all this money to have a car that I must disconnect its logic because it has hallucinations of objects causing the sudden braking. Because the Service Technicians can't make it happen when they drive then there isn't a problem. You don't make it happen! It happens whenever. It's not a controlled action! So no, I would not ever recommend this car to anyone. And if you don't know, you have a gray blob that floats around in the center where your headlights meet. It scared me the first couple of times as I thought something was running across the road. According to the Service Techs, all 2025 Hyundai now have the ghost issue and that is just how Hyundai built the car. So won't fix the headlight either - they just made sure they were lined up correctly and they were. So nothing done to resolve that issue either. I could just go on and on. Lemon Law Dept refuses to help me. Google it and you will see how many people have these same issues. Hyundai doesn't help people. They just put out cars and refuse to help people. I asking them to buy the car back and Lemon Law Dept (referring to Hyundai's Lemon Law Dept) said I had to have the problem happen more than 4 times and each time bring it to service so they can drive it. Again, it doesn't perform like a show dog. It happens randomly. Also, one of our key fobs didn't work. Hyundai did provide us with a new one. AND let me say this, I've been a Hyundai customer for my past 3 cars and they still refused to help me. Same dealership and salesman. So I have no more dedication to them for leaving me with a car I don't like or want anymore.
