1 Year/10K Mile Review - Hyundai Tucson Convenience SEL

Pros: Cargo Capacity, Quiet Ride, Decent Handling Cons: (1) LED Display is frustrating and not legible in bright sunlight. Radio stations can't be set to automatically display when the vehicle is turned on - maddening.

Tucson versus Rav4

There are 2100 miles on the vehicle. It's been returned to the service department twice, on both occasions for the same problem. Regardless of driving mode, cruise or not, driving uphill the engine temperature symbol illuminates and remains on until one eases off the throttle. The RPM range is anywhere between 2100 and 2800. On the first trip to the service department their diagnosis was "coolant level was down a little". They topped the system up. Three days later we are driving to NC, encounter a hill on the outskirts of the Great Smoky mountains and the light comes on. The circumstances were identical to the first occurrence. Returned the vehicle to the service centre, again, explained the circumstances and was assured they would work on it. We left it for an entire week. Five days into the diagnosis a mechanic left a voicemail message asking for a description of the symbol. A picture from the owner's manual had been shared with the staff at the time of dropping the vehicle off. When the vehicle was collected, the information shared was "no fault found". The team has been put on notice, if the condition occurs again, the vehicle will be returned to the dealership and it will remain there.

My 2025 Hyundai Tucson is Fantastic!

Love my 2025 Tucson Hybrid Limited. The seats in the Hyundai vehicles fit me perfectly and give me great support on long trips. There's great leg room in every seat. This is my second Hyundai. My first was a 2012 Veloster that I loved. The features are competitive with any high-end vehicle on the market and often times Hyundai out-produces the luxury competitors. I would LOVE IT if there has been an available hybrid option in the XRT trim as an off road (Subaru-type) of model would be preferred. If Hyundai ever decides to enter the truck market with a small size hybrid XRT trim...I'm all over it.

Like dislikes

Drives well. Comfortable for this driver @ 6’2”. 280#. I really like the option on the phone to start the car. The accessories on this limited edition are extensive so much so that the learning curve is long. The push buttons are very help full. I do not care for the style and feel on the key fob. The way the lift gate works is frustrating mostly due to the differences from were you activate the open and close function. The memory seats and driver login is troublesome. The is a big difference between my size and my wife’s size. If she has Been driving changing the seat configuration for me is not possible so there should be a default open seating until you login. Why do you have to change drivers to log in by finger print. Seems like the finger print shoul log the driver in.

takes too long to become accustomed to safety features. It has slammed on the brakes when not necessary!!

What a Ride

Overall a great car! Fantastic comfortable ride. Smooth acceleration and very good gas mileage with the hybrid model. We opted for the model with all the bells and whistles. Heated and ventilated seats well worth it. Our only complaints are the the cooling and heating system is sometimes not easy to get adjusted with the center control panel and the adaptive cruise control is difficult to get started properly.

First Hybrid

Excellent riding car with very good gas mileage. Love the 4 wheel drive and snow mode when driving in snow. It is like driving a computer. Overwhelming at times. Settings don't always stick once car is turned off. Hard to remember all the options that are available.

Great and Reliable Vehicle

We love our Tucson for many reasons, Reliability, Looks and overall Comfort .Driver Pedal accessibility for Drivers with large and wide feet is somewhat limited and requires practice while driving. (Brake and Gas Pedal proximity and exiting and entering.
