Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Blue

I bought my Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Blue in December 2024. It is now January 2026. I have had over a dozen (12) visits back to the dealership and, unfortunately, more than half of them were due to issues. Honestly, nothing has ever been wrong with the vehicle. I drive over 4 hours a day. I have only ever had 1 issue - intermittently all of the dashboard lights will illuminate and my car battery will eventually die if I do not pull over and power cycle multiple times until I can ensure the car will successfully switch and maintain EV mode. I know it has to be tied to a glitch - and I’ve brought it back countless times for the same issue and have never found a solution - yet at least. What’s even more odd is the more I looked into it - the more this occurred and not only in the Hybrid community. With that issue addressed - I really do love my Tucson. I am in the Army and drive from Panama City to Alabama everyday - so over 4 hour commuting. This vehicle has been comfortable, reliable, and an overall great experience despite feeling a bit unsafe due to the battery issues. I am a bit concerned with bringing my children in this vehicle but only due to the battery issues. I don’t want to get stuck in traffic with my 2 year old in the back seat in inclement weather.

Good car

Good car.. I miss the sunglass holder above the rearview mirror. also not fond of the gear buttons; I would rather have a gear shift handle. Heat takes a long time. I do like the remote start. Not sure the back windshield wiper angle works for me; it tends to result iin drippy field of vision when the washer fluid is used.

Great except for one little thing

I love my Tucson Blue, but one thing bothers me. Switching gears is sometimes tricky, as you have to find the button and really push it hard. It would be possible to make a mistake while watching out the windshield and not looking at the buttons.

Love the car but a couple of issues

I generally love the car -- the design, comfort and performance. I don't love the full touch screen (it can be distracting while driving to tweak the HVAC or something with the entertainment system). Also the incredibly loud beeping when the car is in reverse. I understand it's needed since it's a hybrid, but you can hear it from far away. Plenty of other EV and hybrid cars do not have this. Last, the placement of the rear windshield wiper at the top of the window is terrible. Instead of coming from the bottom and wiping the full span of the window, it wipes from the top and only gets a smaller portion. And when you spray washer fluid, what doesn't get wiped in that section just drips down and leaves streaks on your window.

Hyundai 2024 Tucson the door locks

I had a 2022 Honda CRV you can lock the doors from the inside when you get out of the vehicle I like that and you can set the vehicle so the doors lock when you get 3 ft away from the vehicle and not have to grab the door handle and a lot of times it's a big pause in the winter time it's nice just to walk away and you hear the door lock

My best Hyundai ever

My Hyundai Tucson Blue hybrid is easy to drive, comfortable, mileage much better than advertised, and has nearly all of currently available options, making it very safe. This is my 6th Hyundai and third hybrid, the first two hybrid being a Sonota sel, which were also great vehicles. The Tucson averages in the low to mid 40s, sometimes in the mid 50s, less in cold weather as with all hybrids.

Nice SUV

Perfect size for me. Runs smoothly and has good gas mileage. The only negative I have is that the back up horn is too loud and there is no way to control the volume.
