Mechanical issues

Overall I like the car. I’ve had some mechanical issues with things breaking. I have about 20,000 miles on the car and my display needed to be replaced. The button to adjust the seat isn’t working so I’m not able to use features for the adjustable seats. There’s now things rattling around in the dash.

Not what I thought but a good car

I traded in a '24 Sonata Limited hybrid because it had idiosyncrasies that Hyundai couldn't fix. I was getting an average of 42 mpg in the '24 and am getting no more than 37 mpg in the '25. It may be the same engine but the car seems underpowered. It only runs as an EV for a short time before it goes to "charging." I like the car and think it's a good car but I thought I would get the same mpg as I did in the '24. My driving habits haven't changed a bit.

The steering and acceleration performance are not up to the mark.

The steering is a bit harder to handle compared to other vehicles. Also, when it comes to pickup, the vehicle makes a lot of noise when you press the accelerator.

2025 Sonata hybrid review

Good on fuel and half way comfortable. Needs softer seats and the dash board is way to dim and you cant see some icons, too small

Great car with one lingering issue

Purchased a 2025 Hyundai Sonata, hybrid Limited. The car is beautiful and comfortable to drive. I enjoyed all of the features on the limited and loved the interior and exterior. However, there was a lingering issue that arose within a week of picking up the car. There was a creaking noise on the driver side that was always heard upon acceleration and acceleration, even at low speeds. Only when pulling off and stopping the car, would I hear the creaking sound. Took it to the dealership to figure out the issue and they never could. They replaced the strut three times, including the crossbar and after two days the sound would return. I loved the car but had to get a lemon lawyer and return the car. Aside from the creaking noise, the car was excellent and I enjoyed it. I wanted to replace it with another Sonata, but went with the TOYOTA crown instead. Not as feature rich on the XLE as on the Sonata Limited, but a really nice car as well. If I did not have that issue, I would still be driving it and would recommend the car as I like it more than the Toyota Camry. The gas mileage was great as well.

Lacking some technology

We bought the top level trim package and was very dissapointed it didnt come with camera rear view mirror and memory side mirrors. My wife and I drive the car and like to be able to hit the button for our mirror and seat settings, however, the mirrors dont have memory. Also, the door locks are very frustrating. Why doesn't it have proximity locking where you walk away from the car and it automatically locks. Also, when you go to unlock the car it doesn't even unlock...I feel like its broken but the dealership says thats the way it is. Other than that the car is great but I would honestly trade some features like interior accent lighting to get the features I mentioned above.
