Almost perfect!

New to Hyundai; coming from Acura/Honda. Our 2026 Santa Fe limited in Rockwood green is great. Mostly love the vehicle with a few exceptions. Drivers seat bottom had hole/torn perforation. Some sort of marking paint left on silver dash trim. Large globs of clear coat left on lift gate. Giant scratch on driver's door card. Cosmetic things aside; transmission sometimes shifts strange/hard/confused. Fingerprint just stopped working like I had grown new skin. Had to re add which is annoying if using Phone as a key. Car sometimes 'hesitates' before moving. Not a fan of engine start/stop so that disabled from the beginning of the drive. Find myself more in the gas to get the car to move. Paint is super soft, chips easily.

Nice car to drive

I just returned from a 3000 mile roadtrip in our 2026 Hyundai Santa fe. It was very comfortable and easy to drive. On cruise control, it stays in your lane, slows down when you get to the set distance to the vehicle in front of you, and goes back to your set speed after you signal and change lanes. It even told me that I should take a break when I had been driving too long. The gas mileage was a little below advertised, but the higher speed limits may have made the difference. My only complaint is that the seat belt receivers are too deep beside the seat. Raising them about an inch would really help being able to fasten you seatbelt.

Do not like the way it locks. Do not like the wasted space for charging phones. Would rather have 1 long panoramic sunroof. Not enough power for radio for speakers.

2026 Santa Fe Calligraphy

The car is wonderful. Love the interior comfort, the exterior look, the ride, and the captain chairs in the 2nd row. Most of the included features are something I, a techie, appreciate. What I DO NOT like are some of the safety features. I do NOT like the cruise control enforcing a certain distance from the vehicle in front of me. When I approach a vehicle, when it's time, I'll move into the next lane (or slow down). I don't need a program deciding how close I am allowed to get. The proximity sensors are very annoying. My driveway has a lot of shrubbery and a fence. The sensors always go off in my driveway and there's no way to silence them. When I take my car thru an automated car wash, I have to remember which twist or pushbutton to use to put the car in neutral. At the other end, I am required to hit my brakes in order to put the car in drive and move out of the tunnel. I do not like the auto-stop feature. When I pull up to a stop light or stop sign, I want to be able to press the gas pedal and immediately begin moving. That one second delay seems potentially dangerous not to mention causing more wear and tear on the car's mechanical parts. Things that annoy me: 1) The radio turns off immediately after stopping the car. 2) The rear hatch seems to have a mind of it's own as I'm walking behind it. Sometimes it opens very quickly while other times, I have to stand there and wait. 3) My wife is short and I am tall. When I get into the car after her and start it, I get compressed into the dashboard before I can tell it to change drivers. 4) The dashboard display should return to the same one I had up the last time I drove the car. 5) The storage space under the center console next to the dash is difficult to get things into/out of.
