Some nuisance issues and other comments

1. The driver’s seat doesn’t always slide fully back when shutting off the vehicle. 2. The fingerprint button is useless. Never works. I’ve tried reprogramming several times. 3. Poor interior space design regarding rear storage behind an open 3rd row seating. When the seat is open there not even enough cargo space for groceries let alone luggage for one or two people and certainly not for 6. 4. The tailgate doesn’t open when standing in front of it waiting for it to open 5. Hesitation when engaging gas from a complete stop

I would change/improve a few things if i were to buy another one

I love the santa fe. BUT i would change/improve a few things. The storage tray on the bottom of the center console, i cant even reach it. Its kinda serves no purpose. The back tailgate door that opens up automatically, there should be a sensor just in case a child has their fingers there when its closing. It's still taking me a while to get used to the twist gear change, the charger for the driver heats up my phone tremendously when charging that itll power my phone off because its too hot,

I don’t like the brakes. Too “mushy”.

Besides the brakes being mushy, I don’t like the sensor that determines if you are watching the road. I wear prescription sunglasses and I constantly get the message to watch the road. The cruise control will actually turn off sometimes. The lane assist causes the car to “wonder”. Instead of staying in the center of a lane, it drifts to one side then to the other side. Also, the manual indicates, under cruise, the car will automatically slow down when entering a turn. This does not happen! Set speed is maintained. My 2022 SantaFe did function correctly. The last thing I will mention is that the gas mileage is pretty poor. I’m lucky to get 20 mpg in the city.

It lacks details and some issues

Issues: Sometimes when I get into the car, air comes out of the vent. I don't know how that is possible unless it is consuming battery without my intension. Also whenever I turn on the engine, I hear the trunk closing even though it wasn't open. I also expeienced that it won't close or open with the trunl button so I sometimes have to close it manually. Everytime I put on the brake on the freeway especially on the downhill, I can feel the vibration on my foot. I had similar issues with Palisade. Lacking details: Everytime I wash the car, it leaves a water mark underneath the side mirrors. It seems like there is a gap between the side mirrors and the doors (very annoying). Some of the side pannel and side sill is not assembled perfectly. The warning sound when I get too close to an object in front of my car would not turn off even though my car is stopped unless I put the gear in PARK. The blind spot warning sign on the side mirrors is hard to see during daytime. Overall, compared to the Palisade I drove before Santa Fe, Santa Fe lacks some details that need attention

Fantastic value

Three months and 1100 miles in my 2025 Santa Fe XRT and I am loving it so far. The technology for the price is hard to beat and the ride and comfort are impressive. So much room for a vehicle this size is surprising. The Santa Fe is stunning in style and capabilities, I chose the XRT model for the rugged appearance, AWD, all terrain set up and higher towing capability. Overall very pleased with this purchase with minimal disappointment. I highly recommend anyone looking for a mid-size SUV to take a look at the Santa Fe.
