Fantastic Hybrid Hyundai

We love our new 2026 Santa Fe Hybrid. The ride is very smooth, and the safety features are top notch. We are averaging 35 mpg. It is also fun to drive.

Slide Button

Overall its a great vehicle. Its fun to drive, stylish, fun features, and comfortable. However the slide button makes me worry about safety. My kids accidentally press it when going in and out.

Better Than I Anticipated

I like this vehicle. I had a Ford Expedition 4x4 which drove more like a pickup, but was very good in the snow and mud. The Santa Fe is not a 4x4, nor did I opt for the all wheel drive. It feels and handles more like a sedan, but since I don't ski or hunt anymore, it is very nice for what i use it for. It gets good mileage and it's fun to try and get better by trying to use the electric more and gas less. I only have 1,600 miles so far and mostly in town driving ( where it gets better mpg than on the road). I haven't taken an extended road trip yet. With $6+ cost of regular gas in California, the Santa Fe is a big improvement over the Ford Expedition (18mpg). I am very satisfied so far with my selection. I did not get an upscale model (no sunroof, no power seats, no navigation system, no leather seats) but the vehicle still meets all of my driving requirements. If I had one complaint, it would be that it has no spare tire, only a canister that will (hopefully) inflate the tire and allow you to make it to a tire center. Being somewhat old school and having never owned a car without a spare tire, I am some what skeptical of this feature. But at 80 years old maybe I shouldn't be changing a tire anyway.

Nine car, but not the engine

Very comfortable drive and ride, nice interior, however on the expensive side. And terrible dealer service, don’t want an AI to brush me off when scheduling for service, connect me with a real person. Can’t recommend Hyundai unless they fix this!!

Not happy after driving this for over 2 months now.

Too many bells, whistles and immediate parking break occurrences for this vehicle to be my every day local driver. More of an inconvenience and time waster.

If I could sell it for what I paid, I would sell it. Too much electronics, too much to figure out and install. Absolutely the worst shifting gear setup. Very distracting to make any adjustments to screen, heating, cooling, radio and on and on while driving. You can easily turn the volume up and down, and turn some things Off. Beautiful car, nice driving, spacious. Excellent gas mileage. Key fob is excellent. Windows and mirror work normally.

Wonderful driving car with great MPG

Very much enjoy the ride and comfort in the vehicle. It is smooth, peppy enough, and feels very solid and stable on the road. Personally, I am exceeding the MPG rating of the vehicle, so very happy in the economy and the range between fill up. The Tech is solid, but there are a few quirks, such as no setting to allow automatic locking when you walk away from the vehicle - something that seems more common, even on much cheaper vehicles. Also, in my Calligraphy model, they don't have the upgrading seating features for the passenger seat. Again, in the rated trim, this really should be included.

1st time Hyundai Buyer

Was a bit concerned about reliability and quality but so far both seem to be great. The engine can be a bit noisy, like the Toyota's, and shifts are occasionally if you're driving it gently, but I've been averaging 35-40mpg with mixed highway and local driving which is fantastic with gas prices these days.

Excellent with a few improvements needed

So I’ll start up with the gas mileage since I bought a hybrid for the gas mileage it’s rated at 38 miles per gallon and I am averaging 41 miles per gallon on the first 10,000 miles so great so far. The ride is pretty smooth although the transmission does shift hard sometimes from park the charge pad for phones is a little hard to connect to and that whole entire area is indirect sunlight and it overheats the phones so in reality the charger pad is not really usable unless you buy some type of shade to cover it, but they should’ve designed it better on more of an angle to block off the sun. The trunk opens separately. I don’t have any problems with any electronics so far so good Apple play works great.
