Very roomy

It has great gas milage and is especially roomy for the whole family. Lots of storage space and can load three dog crates in the back with the seats down. Lots of room.

Hyundai For Life!

You've really hit a great balance in the post-touchscreen world. The things that should be physical buttons and switches are all broken out from the touchscreen display. It shows a commitment to investing in the longevity and quality of the vehicle because obviously slapping a touchscreen that controls everything in the middle of the dash would be cheaper and simpler to produce. I also appreciate the throttling of any autonomy-adjacent driving features. Again, that shows great moral values as a manufacturer. The car will handle exactly the amount that is verifiably safe for it to do which prevents any tragic accidents from overreliance on assistive driving/autonomous driving features. I like the form factor of the 2024+ models- it certainly looks more luxurious- but what I couldn't do without in the 2023 is the 'secret compartment' in the trunk. No more groceries rolling all over the back of my car if left unsecured. I've got 3 recessed compartments to stow it all in. I couldn't care less about a third row- I want secret trunk that can double as a cooler for camping trips. The audio system leaves a bit to be desired, especially on the highest end models- it's lacking in depth and bass and it favors the rear row far too much making listening to music from up front when there are others in the rear of the car a wholly unpleasant experience for the passengers. The quiet mode feature is nice but certainly challenging to enable if using Android Auto/CarPlay and driving. That's one of those things I would have wanted on buttons in the center console -a couple of the major Hyundai features. I know many car owners have requested 1 or even several programmable buttons for years.

Our 2023 Santa Fe has a dead lithium battery after only 2 years. It may take 2 months to replace the battery, which seems ridiculous to me. Until now the vehicle has been fine but I am concerned as to what this may lead to in the future.

A solid commuter car with creature comforts

Overall, happy with the car! It gets my family around comfortably, the radar cruise control is a life saver for sitting in traffic on the highway, and the mileage is strong (34/35mpg avg if I’m in traffic a decent amount. My only gripes are that the car has developed more squeaks and creaks than I’d expect after such a short period of time. Driving over a bump or when the car shifts its weight in a turn you can hear some of the materials strain. When I bought the car it was a comparable price to an entry level Benz, so I would have hoped the quality would have lasted more. All that said, I’d still recommend to others!
