Palisade Limited AWD

Had three Toyota 4Runner Limited before this car. Palisade is much more efficient with towing capacity. Palisade is more luxurious. Really like this vehicle. Dealer is great.

Love it, but there is a rattle

I love my Palisade! It has all of the extras I need and more. However, there has been a rattle in the back after having it for about 6 months. We bought it brand new, so the rattle has been annoying.

Just what our Family Needed

This is the perfect SUV for my family. As new grandparents we needed comfort and size for 4 adults and two car seats. We had high end luxury car that the Palisade replaced so we wanted the comfort features as well. I am pleasantly surprised and happy with all. Gas mileage is good, different settings for main operation is exceptional. Had to use snow setting in Atlanta late last year and it was comfortable and Safe!

This car is riddled with problems

I can not say how disappointed I am with Hyundai and this car. There have been countless recalls and problems which still arise (like braking not engaging) that the dealer has replicated but still can’t fix. The cars are unsafe and nobody at corporate seems to care. I won’t ever buy another Hyundai and have discouraged friends and family from doing so as well.

Good car

So far with only 12,000 miles on our 2024 Palisade, it has been a very nice vehicle. Very reliable, comfortable, great on gas mileage. A couple of minor concerns: #1. The vehicle is sluggish when taking off and hesitates more than we would like and #2. with 4 recalls on the vehicle, only two have been fixed as 2 are waiting for the fix to arrive to dealerships. Would also like to have power folding mirrors on the vehicle which the 2024 does not.

I expected the best but not to be!

I have a 2024 Calligraphy, top of the line. First, within the first few weeks I experienced a lag in power, after braking, when slowing down to complete a turn. I would step on the gas and nothing. Sometimes the tach would jump but again no acceleration. I brought this to the dealer's attention more than once and they could not duplicate during a test drive. Well, 19,000 miles later and still the same. Secondly, the ventilated seat on the cool setting is a minimal change. Even after 10 minutes I don't experience the same great cooling effect as our 2020 Santa Fe Limited. Thirdly, the driver's seat becomes very uncomfortable on long drives. Even with me using all of the comfort options provided with this top-of-the-line vehicle. This has been confirmed by other drivers on the long trips. I now bring a cushion to sit on. Again our 202 Santa Fe has a more comfortable seat. Lastly, the stereo sound system is average at best. AGAIN, our Santa Fe has a great system, almost surround like feeling. The Santa Fe has a setting that the Palisade does not, even the TOP OF THE LINE! A lot of money for an average vehicle. Dave Cooper

It's ok

Paint is weak, the lane control weaves down the road, roadside walls in curves are an issue for cruise control, some safety controls are o er done.

Like the car but the recalls and delay on servicing due to parts is awful.

OK, not great

Considering we bought the absolute top of the line Palisade model with all the bells and whistles, I'd have to say we have not been blown away with the overall vehicle experience. We are pretty much used to it now, but a lot of the user interface is not as user friendly as it should be. E.G. having to plug your iphone in to the USB port to get it to work, instead of through the bluetooth (when other vehicles do have that functionality?) is a bit annoying. And trying to get the radio to work while also using carplay for the gps is NOT straight forward. And trying to figure out how to get the rear doors to unlock using the outside door handle function is inefficient or glitchy. 360 view when backing up is not NEARLY as good as what we had in our 2019 Chevy Traverse. Really cant use the side view at all, it is so distorted. And - this one is very minor, but typical of what I am talking about: the vehicle that shows up in the 360 degree view when backing up etc., shows a white vehicle? Ours is black; that is SUCH an easy coding change, and they didn't even do that... And it took 21 months to come up with the fix to the safety recall on the seat airbags? And apparently many Palisades owners have a problem with the suspension also? And, the free service for 3 yrs is basically an oil change, and tire rotation (but not balancing?) And to fix a tire with a nail in it is $40 on the original tires (pretty sure Discount Tire would have done it for free for me, and I did not buy the tires from them)... Really, the free service benefit is just a way to get the vehicle into the dealership to tell you you need to do $700 worth of "recommended maintenance", most of which should have either been included in the 3 yr service for free, or is 3-7 times what it would cost to do it yourself (changing engine air and Cabin AC filters), pouring some fuel or oil treatment fluid into the fuel tank or oil fill cap, "battery service"(?) which if it is important, should have been done as part of the regular 3 yr servicing. Probably the last new car I'll buy, and definitely the last car from Big Star dealers. 5 hours to get the car bought, with lost paperwork and back and forth with the sales manager.... It's a shame because my 2012 Genesis has been excellent, which is the main reason I went with the Palisades this time...

Vehicle in service for 6 months

My 2024 Palisade has been in service since December. Between the rear shocks/mounts going out in December and the 2 open recalls, I have not driven my vehicle since. It has been at the dealership sitting since January. The parts for the shocks/mounts have been on backorder the entire time and the open recalls (air bags and seat belt issues) have not had parts available in the US. I was originally told the shocks/mounts would be available in 30 days, but at this point it has been 6 months since I drove it, while still paying my car note. For being a new vehicle when purchased, I expected better. This has been an extremely frustrating situation.
