Wonderful car

After quite a bit of research, I was convinced that this was the family car for my wife and myself. I was skeptical of the hybrid system but so far it functions seamlessly.

2026 Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy had it all

I still love this vehicle and would likely buy it again. For the price, it has equal of greater technology than SUVs that are priced much higher. The ham handed approach to the recall for the 3rd row seats really soured me though. I understand the need for quick fix but long term, the capabilities were reduced for this trim and for what I paid for. I'm OK with the manufacturer requiring you to hold the button up or down for the time it takes to raise/lower the seats. However, why did they feel the need to remove the ability to do this from the touch screen? There are learly sensors in the seats - the car shows seats occupied when yo start the vehicle and represents it in the dash with the red circles. Who can't you use the weight sensor as the governor for this? Aside from this issues, I am very happy with the car and love driving it.

Classy and worth the price

So far this is one of the best vehicles I have ever had. It gets great mileage in town and even on the freeway and is easy to drive into park. All the controls are easy and generally very intuitive. It is a very comfortable midsize SUV to drive.

If a car had a baby with Windows update….

The software on this vehicle is the problem. it’s really that simple. It used to be that for the first month or so the mirrors would fold in and out when you would start the car. Following an update that went away. Now it is if the mirrors move slightly which affects your camera system. The seat controls for the third row are super annoying. The way they react changed following an update and now I’m not even clear how to get them to consistently move to gain access to the third row.

Electrical trunk and lane assist problems

Had to tear the car apart 2 times. 1st was for suspected wiring harness 2nd time was for replacement of trunk actuation computer. It all originated from the trunk not working and the dash switch which they thought was malfunctioning was the first attempt that ended up having me to lemon law the vehicle. I had no confidence in trusting the wiring and electronics after the complete interior tear down. On top of that the lane assist was not working real well since the wheel alignment was overriding lane assist. For owning the car for 3.5 months I was able to drive it approximately 10 days which out of those ten days the trunk worked for 3 days. I was to afraid to drive the car after Hyundai offered to buy the car back. To cap it off on the day I was to surrender the vehicle at the dealership I drove the car from my house about 2 miles away. After parking the car the person inspecting the car out and could not unlock the car w the fobs. It was manually opened and then would not start, do in short really loved the features of the car but the mechanical quality was poor and not trust worthy. Hyundai has some issues to fix in term of build quality. Like my friend said when I was going to buy a Hyundai, do you know why they give you such long warranties. Now I know they are always in the shop for issues.

Great, but scary

Everything that sold is on this vehicle is exactly what we expected. However, the issue with the seats in the back that ultimately killed one kid had it sitting in the garage until Hyundai was able to fix the issue.

Better than my Mercedes!

This vehicle has a smooth drive and so many amazing features. The only thing I dislike about this vehicle is the space if you have car seats…there is absolutely not enough room if you are using the middle row for car seats and want to have anyone in the third row. I was extremely disappointed with this because I bought this vehicle because I have grandchildren. But it’s the ONLY thing I don’t like about it.

Very fine road trip vehicle

Very smooth quiet ride. Extremely comfortable with very nice tech. A very roomy vehicle. Gets very good mileage for a vehicle this size . Had a problem early on with a dead battery. I believe that there may be a problem with the smart key. I got a new battery, deleted the smart key and I haven’t had any issues. So far love the vehicle. If you drive it like a normal vehicle the gas mileage is fantastic. I think the people who are not getting the rated mileage must be driving it like a race car . Very happy.
