Love the car

2 items would like addressed Climate controls are dimly lit. Hard to very hard to see in direct sunlight or with sunglasses. Our previous ioniq 5 had a dedicated climate control page on the touchscreen display. For some reason this has been removed

Electric White Cloud

My first Ioniq 5 was in 2023 SE, then I traded it for a 2026 with an upgrade. The improvements are worth the upgrade and going back to the Ioniq 5. It has a beautiful white interior and exterior and a sun roof with a auto-slide cover. This mini-SUV is fully functional for our family that includes adult children, and 2 mini and 1 large fur babies. In my opinion, this is the best EV out there right now of this size.

Great car, fun to drive, economical, looks great.

Seems like more Cons below than pros. Truth is I love the car. Glad I bought instead of leasing, we are putting WAY to many miles on it for a lease. I think it's one of the best looking cars. It's fun to drive and comfortable. Been economical so far too. I don't know on reliability, haven't had it long enough but this review is forcing me to choose.

Average car for a median price

Great $0 down option for those looking to go electric. Compared to Tesla, the features dont even come close... the infotainment system and vehicle controls need a lot of work.

Love this car. Couple of issues that I don’t like

Love this car. It’s quite comfortable nice power even with the rwd only. Fit and finish is great with the exception of the rear passenger door sometimes rubbing into the front door but only in the extreme heat. Other than that electric is the way to go. Ioniq all the way

A Joy to Drive

I’m very happy with my 2026 Ionic5. It has been a learning curve since it is my first EV model, but well worth the effort. The seats are exceptionally comfortable with lots of adjustments and I particularly like the feature which supports my lower legs. It’s easy to enter and exit the vehicle. It’s very responsive and fun to drive. The visibility front and back windows is exceptional.

Initial evaluation with 2 months of experience.

I absolutely love this car however.... On my first road trip I was not able to get the charge cable released from the port. I purchase extra for roadside assist and they were not able to help. I pulled on the manual release from within the car and this did not work. I was told to pull it harder and it broke off. There should ABSOLUTELY be no situation where you cannot unplug your charge cable. I was 105 degrees outside and I went in circles for support help. There has to be a simpler way to release a charge connector.

Best vehicle I've ever owned

My Ionic 5 is smooth, responsive, quiet, and clean. There are so many features which are all very helpful and first rate! I had to study hard to understand them all - and after 4 months I'm still learning. But my favorite part of the vehicle is simply driving it. It responds extremely well. I feel safe and well informed of conditions while driving. My favorite feature is the idrive. I love not using the brake (a joke between me and my husband) but true.

Love it, just and inch away from perfection

I have never loved a vehicle more and I was highly resistent to getting it at first. 0-60mph is so fin. Tech is leading and exceeds safety expectation. Elegance ultra comfortable seating. Turning radius is tiigghhhhtt!!! Must go for the top model though.

Focus on Features Equity

The Ioniq 5 has exceptional camera hardware, but locking it behind a closed system forces owners to buy redundant third-party dashcams. Hyundai should enable native local video recording, or better yet, release an open-source API for camera access. Giving the developer community permissionless access to read local video feeds would make Hyundai the gold standard for software transparency and user ownership in the EV space. I have bluelink and also the SEL build and I would pay extra to get some sort of subscription service if it is worth it. Hyundai product managers please take this feedback. Thanks!

Comfortable quiet, fun to drive, -holding breath about the ICCU

There's a lot of function as well as form in this car. The limited edition allows the receipts to move back-and-forth, to adjust the amount of truck versus rear seat room one has. There's so much seat legroom that that works. Acceleration is great fun. Breaking seems good. I'm getting more miles per kilometer on this one in my 2023 EB six -can't explain that. Having the NACS charger makes things more convenient and reduces anxiety. Seats are comfortable.

Great car with a few lemon details

We've driven this car a lot since we got it earlier this year. The interior gets dirty really easily (we have the white) and the exterior paint isn't great but it charges quickly, has decent range, and is comfortable to ride in. It is fairly small but works great for our family of 3. Overall we like it quite a bit and would recommend it to others.
