Fun to drive

In Sport Mode the Ioniq 5's handling is similar to my 1959 AC Bristol. The Ioniq 5 posts 10% better 0 to 60 and 13% better quarter mile times than the AC Bristol. In 1959 the AC Bristol won its class at Le Mans and placed well in other international races.

My New 2026 Ioniq5 Ltd RWD

I waited for several years to buy this car and was watching for the dust to settle. It looked like the ICCU issues were resolved and so made my move. The digital teal exterior appealed most to me and my wife and so we got that. Although the average range per Hyundai was 318, in the last 8 weeks, on the few occasions we charged our car to 100%, the range was between 360 and 376 miles. The interior is quite spacious and the seats are comfortable. The cars cameras are excellent and and really helpful for safety. That the bluelink subscription is offered for life by Hyundai is remarkable. Our major disappointment was that the car had to be taken back to the dealer within weeks after buying it new for addressing the “key not recognized” problem. Troubleshooting took quite long and finally the BDC unit had to be replaced to fix the problem! That there is no spare tire provided with the car is also a concern. One perk is the both CCS and NACS charging adapters are provided. The trunk space is quite limited for a family. Hyundai could certainly have done better by providing mud flaps, which are not even available in Hyundai brand!

Just what I wanted!

Not much to say here. The car is as advertised. It's every bit better than the 2024 BMW X1 I replaced with it. Loaded with nearly every feature that car had. The cabin is quiet and well thought out. Lots of torque from the motor at any speed. Huge modern interior. Handling and turn radius could improve. As well as the 360 view cam. Otherwise, it' practically perfect!

Love tis car

The car is a dream to drive. Hyundai Santa Monica were terrific. We've had it two months so it's still very new.. but zero complaints. Best car I ever owned, and I've owned plenty.

Almost perfect

2026 Limited: It's the right size, very comfortable and quiet. The driving experience is great. HVAC display is difficult to see with sunglasses on. Instrument lighting does not dim automatically.

Very good, but could easily be better

Like it a lot, but silly features detract from it. The regen braking and drive mode should be set to as it was when I turned off the car rather than making me reset it every time. The get a cup of coffee feature is just stupid. It should be optional and the other day it went on 5 minutes into my drive. There should be a forward camera rather than sensor for parking. Camera is much better for tight spaces. My lexus has a camera. I would have bought the Limted for the features, but did not want to give up the range. Why would you have 20" that reduces the range when range is a concern for many. You sell the car as being able to use the Tesla supercharger. It can only use some of them as I found out while on the road far from home. I cant anwer on reliability as it is too new, but you force me to respond to it.

My Ioniq5 delivers

I’ve had it for 4 months—all warmer weather, and the only problems I’ve had so far is the charger overheats my phone and when using adaptive cruise the warnings to keep your “eyes on the road” and “hands on the wheel” are activated so often when not necessary that I don’t use it. Completely defeating its purpose.

I’m SO Glad This Car is My First EV. PERFECT Choice.

I am obsessed with this car. It’s so fun, sleek, spacious fast and amazing to drive and charge. I haven’t even fully gotten into all of the specs yet because there’s SO MUCH this car can do it baffles me everyday. Still getting used to a few things, some of the distance notifications to let you know someone’s in the next lane, behind you, etc are a lil jarring and hard to get used too. But other than that, LOVE this purchase. Great price, affordable to recharge and I don’t miss the gas station AT ALL.

Improvements over my 2023 Ioniq 5 but some losses too

I loved my 2023 Ionic 5. My new 2026 has better color choices, better range, better software and improved phone and music links. Range is 10 to 20% better close to 380 miles on a charge with mixed driving in the eco mode. But the SEL model lost the electric folding mirrors, heated steering wheel and ambiant lighting. The steering wheel heat is the biggest deal as it really helps to use heated seats and wheel as not to run the heat in cool temps! I was disapointed.

I Love My Ioniq 5

I love everything about my Ioniq 5. I never wanted to own an electric car, but I when I needed to buy a new car, I did my research and bought an Ioniq 5 all electric car. I am sooo glad I made that choice. No gas, no oil changes, no many things. The ride is very quiet and smooth. It feels luxurious inside. It has plenty of power to get me up the mountain. Plenty of leg room in the front and for back seat passengers. Lots of space to carry whatever one may need. Hyundai thought of everything when they made this car. I plug it into a regular outlet in the garage and charge it overnight. We have solar panels on our house so we are winning both ways; solar power and no gas. I rave about it to people who ask. I'm so happy with it.

My new daily driver

I drive anywhere between 30 to 108 miles per day and this car makes the miles as comfortable as possible. Comfy while on highways using the HDA features and very responsive when needed. Sport mode makes for quite a launch. This care is great!
