A fun retro-futuristic car!

The car is so fun and cool to look at. Part of it looks like the retro pixelated look of the 80s and then part of it looks like it belongs 25 years in the future. The ride quality and responsiveness is also a lot of fun - it feels like a big go-kart. The features that come with the Limited trim are excellent.

Electric Vehicle

Once I learned the many features an accessories, the car is one of my favorites. The dis advantage for me is the time I spend to charge the batteries, but knowing that I am driving a vehicle that is environmentally sound is very satisfying.

Exceeded my High Expectations

Best driving car I've ever owned. Just wished it handled a couple of things better, such the driver attention warning sensor that doesn't work with most prescription glasses and sunglasses as well as doors not locking when you walk away.

Bought as a city driver, not nimble enough nor fitted appropriately

The I5 has an astoundingly large 40' turning radius, larger than most vehicles both inside and outside its class. Thus, a car seen by us as a "city driver", which would imply nimbleness during tight street driving, turning and parking, is not engineered to be nimble and can be a daily pain point. A common city use is shopping, so why doesn't this vehicle have hooks in the walls of the cargo area to secure grocery bag handles? I hate when my bags tumble, and melons are rolling around the cargo area crushing my eggs in the next tumbled bag over. The stiff ride of the "low frictional" tires are not softened sufficiently by the suspension, thus while driving city roads with their ubiquitous potholes and construction bumps this vehicle has a decidedly jarring ride (there goes those groceries again!). Lastly, not city driving related, the vehicle had subtle panel dents when we picked it up (had to have the right light to see them), the dealer tried and said they could not fix it. They provided a "We Owe" documenting the damage so upon lease return we would not be held accountable for that damage. But an obvious and unsettling manufacturing flaw.

Fresh and nice EV, with a lot of tech improvement to make

Overall this is a EV. Nice and comfortable. But it needs a lot of Improvements. Owning this vehicle on top of a Tesla model 3, it is hard not to compare.

What a great car that Hyundai invented

I have been eyeing on Ioniq 5 for a few years, and finally had a chance to lease one. As expected, Hyundai have put a lot of great features for the mid level trim, which makes it great for the money. Their range in the city seems to be more than what they advertised, but highway miles is something that should be carefully watch for. The motor is strong and the vehicle moves very quickly if you want to push it. But it is also very comfortable without much NVH. I like it has enough touch screen requirements, and still have physical buttons as needed.

Good introduction to the world of the EV

This is our first EV if you don’t count our golf cart. I find it to be much more than comfortable, quiet efficient transportation. It is an ongoing challenge to find all about its capabilities and my ability to make the most of it.

Great family Car

Comfortable and great value for money. Has a spacious interior. Exterior design can be bold in my opinion. Build quality can be improved as it feel little wobbly. Overall I like the car and the choice I made for my budget.

Excellent Car

The 2025 Ioniq 5 is an excellent EV. I appreciate the updates from my 2023 Ioniq. The rear windshield wiper, NACS port and all the adapters, as well as some enhanced safety features all make the car even more enjoyable to drive around town or on long trips.

Fine month review as a second Ioniq 5 owner

The upgrade from my 2022 Ioniq 5 is noticeable. However, the nice ambient lights inside the cabin is gone for the SEL model. That is a big disappointment.

Not what I expected

2 pop noises when shut off the vehicle, clunky noises in brake system, alignment 2 times since first bought the vehicle. The vehicle now has 4800 miles and all of that happened already. The seat are not comfy.

Electric Excellence!

If you’re looking for an EV that is fun, economical and well-made, I can recommend the Ioniq 5. It’s comfortable, fun to drive and, once you have done the setup of the many options, it’s as comfortable as using your iPhone.

An overall excellent EV

a great everyday drive. Very comfortable around town except for relatively large turn radius for a car its size. Cross country performance is excellent- HDA is very helpful and reduces fatigue. Single motor power is adequate but dual motor performance is nicer. Range makes most cross country driving manageable with modest planning . Daily city driving in LA area with home L2 charging is a non issue.
