Great with just a few flaws

Quiet, comfortable, and quick. Great drained such as heated seats, heated steering wheel, and adaptive cruise control. Climate control display needs work. Keyless entry after opening the trunk also needs tweaking. Lastly, where do I I put my sunglasses?

Car has been great but having trouble with the app

I have really enjoyed the car however my app has stopped working I put a ticket in and waited two weeks and I never heard back from anyone. I then called and talked with two different people they walked me through some steps then they said they had to go talk with the engineers and that I will have to wait up to 10 more days. I am now at day 10 or 11 and have not heard anything back.

Love the electric car aspects, but the infotainment is terrible

The infotainment system is incredibly frustrating to use and very slow. Defaults to the second page of settings, takes forever to load your profile, disconnects from audio constantly.

Seems like the best alternative to Tesla. I love driving it. I don’t like public charging, but I have a home charger which makes this perfect.

Efficient and fun to drive.

The ionic 5 is sleek and fun to drive. The features of the limited trim provide everything id want and the electric range is great. I am a larger man and sit comfortable in the vehicle. The only gripe I have would be limited cargo space in the rear.

Good But ICCU is a Big Worry on long, fully loaded trips

Love the car except for the continuing ICCU failures reported by owners. I know four other owners, all of them have had an ICCU failure. I travel fully loaded with the family on 1000-2500 mile trips, where an ICCU failure would be a big problem. Wish I had known the recalls and previous attempts to fix were not a solution before I leased this car.

We really like the vehicle. Drives smooth. Good interior space (similar to a Tucson). Trunk space has good depth. You just loose a little ceiling space compared to other smaller SUVs (which isn't an issue).

Great car, but could be better. A second clothes hook on the passenger side and auto lock doors when exiting would be nice, as well as a grab handle above the driver's seat.

Very cool almost there

The Ioniq5 is very nice. The mileage is great for 2025 and the size of the vehicle. In town it gets over 300 miles a charge. Highway can suck it up, but I have taken multiple 100+ mile trips out of town and back without a recharge at the destination. The side mirrors seem a bit small or off? Not sure, but with all the sensors you know if anything is next to you even if you cannot see it. The limited edition comes with very cool and useful surround camera for detection and automated parking. The micro car view is weird and funny while being useful. I do wish the backseats folded all the way down! It leaves an angle when folded down. You can pull the seats forward which is great. However, small thing of the gap it leaves can hide things. Very nice to be able to move the seats in the rear forward and back plus recline. So, it is a plus overall. Seems like it would have a bit more ummff on the starting line. Kind of a lag that annoys me. Once it is going it doesn't care what speed you are going it has more lets go in it. Next steps: Add full self driving and solid state battery with 900 miles range. };-)

Handles great. Highway self-driving is order of magnitude better than Ford's. Charging times are short. SEL range is great. Interior, seats, dashboard, accessories designed well with quality.

Quality, Smooth Quiet Ride, Fun Acceleration, Useful and Useable Tech

In the Limited trim there is enough new Tech that it took a minute to find and configure the vehicle to our needs. Once done though, the safety and drivability tech has proven easy to use and great to have. We especially like that key audio and climate controls retain dedicated buttons, however, since they are touch screens rather than buttons, it can be distracting to put your finger in the right place. Some sort of texture or other clue would help. Blind spot monitoring is comprehensive with HUD, mirror, dash, and audible cues to avoid mistakes. Lane keeping is mostly unobtrusive and finds the right position. With lane keeping on, signalling a lane change results in what seems a somewhat abrupt move toward the selected lane. Seat comfort and custom positioning are good. Rear hip and leg room work for 3 adults on shorter drives. Storage behind the rear seat is a bit limited for this size car due to range improving batteries taking up space beneath most of the floor. Regen is just OK with fiddly controls. After four months, I’m still not entirely comfortable with it. It has four levels of regen. Increasing regen using the left paddle seems to hold back acceleration. Quickly tapping the left paddle increases the regen setting, while holding the left paddle temporarily increases regen to improve deceleration. It is too easy to inadvertently change your desired regen setting when that isn’t your intent.
