This car is great! Fun to drive, efficient, long range, great sound system, looks cool, recycled materials...my only complaint is the climate control has smooth electronic buttons and it's unsafe because you have to look carefully to see what you're pressing if you want to change the temp or fan speed while driving.

Love everything but one

Fun to drive. The “Consider Taking a Break” prompt is utterly obnoxious. Way too sensitive and unadjustable. If I stray slightly to avoid/pass a truck or bike it scolds me mercilessly. It’s enough to make me reconsider another Ioniq 5 even though I love everything else about the car.

Great EV, But a Major Reliability Scare on a Brand-New Car

I absolutely love the way my 2025 Ioniq 5 drives. The design, interior comfort, tech, and everyday efficiency are outstanding and exactly what I wanted in an EV. Unfortunately, at under 1,500 miles the car displayed a Check Electric Vehicle System warning and the dealer confirmed a failed ICCU, a problem that is WELL known to Hyundai. This isn’t an old car: it was built in April 2025 at the Georgia Metaplant, so it’s disappointing that a brand-new model year is still shipping with the defective component. The good news is that the dealer arranged warranty coverage and an ICCU replacement, and Hyundai’s EV powertrain warranty is solid. But the experience shook my confidence: I don’t expect a critical power-train part to fail so soon into the life of a vehicle. Hyundai, I love this car and hope the updated ICCU truly resolves the issue and that you can figure out this issue on new builds so other owners don’t have to go through the same ordeal.

Pick of the current EV market

After 43 years owning BMWs I decided to try an EV. Of the available ones, the Ioniq 5 most met my needs. Took advantage of the Federal tax rebate and Hyundai offers when leasing a 2025 Limited. Car is extremely comfortable and drives very well. I have a few complaints, but in general I think it's a well designed offering. I wish there was better integration between Android Auto and the built-in software (like being able to see radio info within Android Auto and allowing Google Maps to start pre-conditioning the battery). The car key is ridiculously large and fills my jean pocket. The trunk load floor is too high for many shopping bags to fit under the retractible cover. The automatic trunk opening would be better served by using a wave of the foot rather than standing behind the car with a wireless key. Other than that, love the car and feel it is well made and thought out.

Upgraded from the 2024 Ioniq 5 to the 2025 Ioniq 5. Both outstanding vehicles but some really nice subtle improvements 2025.

The Hyundai Ioniq drives superbly, and we love using it. But after 2,000 miles, the infotainment screen died and it has taken over a week to get it fixed (still not done).

A fun retro-futuristic car!

The car is so fun and cool to look at. Part of it looks like the retro pixelated look of the 80s and then part of it looks like it belongs 25 years in the future. The ride quality and responsiveness is also a lot of fun - it feels like a big go-kart. The features that come with the Limited trim are excellent.
