Cheap and annoying

1. Two plastic body panels have popped loose on their own. Photos attached. 2. An air dam or some similar piece of thick plastic under the front end is so low that it kept scraping against parking lot concrete curb blocks. Eventually one side started scraping against a front tire. 3. The boot-up time of the front screen, where navigation, radio controls, etc., are seen sometimes takes longer than is convenient. 4. The car is comfortable, but VERY low. When a door is open all the way, it can be hard to easily reach the handle to pull it closed. 5. There's a weird bar between the center console and the front passenger seat. Maybe it's for structural strength, but it's a little annoying. 6. The view out the rear window is poor. 7. The automatic engine off function (for red lights, etc.) is annoying and they really don't save any gas. The default is for it to be on, and there doesn't seem to be a way to change that. 8. The lane following function has two settings - annoying and very annoying. I'd like to turn it off completely, but there's no way to do that. I haven't had the car long enough to truly evaluate reliability, so I marked it as a neutral 5.

2025 Elantra Review

The car is very smooth to drive and is very good on gas mileage. Seat get uncomfortable when driving long distances and my WiFi connection hasn’t function right since my 1 year anniversary of purchase.

A Warning To All Buyers, Stay Away From Hyundai.

I am leaving a 1-star review based on my current and overall experience with Hyundai. Specifically, selling my car to NorthWest Hyundai Dealership. As we near August, it has been almost two months since I sold my 2025 Hyundai Elantra. And I am still paying for it. Still responsible for the note, even though it is now under a different owner and has already been resold. This is really embarrassing on Hyundai's end. I have called, texted, emailed, and to no avail, have been helped with my issue. It appears that someone did not properly do their job and report the payoff to HMF. The car is 3/10. No frills, basic, overpriced piece of aluminum.

Great enthusiast car, clunky in a few ways

Absolutely love the car. Quicker than any new $30k sedan, DCT transmission is a thousand times better than the competition’s CVTs, and the handling is superb. Small details like the manual hand brake, button/screen layout, and sport seats make it clear it’s built for the young enthusiast. My previous car was a 2022 Civic Sport, which was sporty in name only, but this is much more engaging. The engine braking on downshifts and weight of the steering make it engaging on windy roads and through the city. That being said, it’s clunky in a few different ways. Getting out of first gear with any amount of throttle (normal acceleration from a stop sign, flooring it, everything in between) is never smooth. It bogs down under initial acceleration and takes a moment to shift into second. Going from second to third, etc, is fine. Just not first to second. That’s my biggest gripe. The interior build quality is also not great. The passenger grab handle, dashboard, and gauge cluster all creak when touched or going over bumps. I also hate the wind noise. My old Civic didn’t have this issue, but at speeds above 35-40mph (especially on the freeway), the noise is so bad my music has to be turned to at least 15-20 notches to drown it out. And for myself, I wish there was more head space in the rear. I’m 6’1” and can’t sit comfortably and instead need to hunch over to fit. This was a surprise given how the roofline isn’t too sloped. And, honestly speaking, the suspension could be stiffer. Hairpins taken at a fair speed show just how much body roll there is. Not a huge concern, but still. Overall it’s a great car and the pros greatly outweigh the cons. I love it.

Has been very reliable. Our Elantra gets great gas mileage, 48 mpg on the highway.

Kind of plain with the SEL version but Hyundai Elantra's are great car

I had a 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited before I bought this 2025 Hyundai Elantra SEL and I loved my old car so much more. It had more features and was a smaller, more sporty looking car. So I am not used to driving a SEL model and how much less features there are.

Missing MUST haves

I don’t understand how a 2025 vehicle doesn’t have back ac/heat or any kind of cup holders. I unfortunately didn’t realize that until after the purchase, if I would’ve known before hand, I probably would not have purchased the car.

Worse Tires I ever seen in my lifetime

I Leased the car, little over a year old, 13,000 miles on it, they told me I need new tires, this is my third lease prior to this I leased two Honda HRV's & on both I got through the 3 year lease without have to buy tires. If this is the kind of tires Hyundai puts on thier vehicles, and I don't care if there factory tires it will be the last Hyundai that I buy or lease my inspection is due in two months, it would be nice if Hyundai can make me feel better about this, I'm 69years old been driving a long time never seen anything like yhis !

Great car and value

I had a Tucson before and had some major life changes so had to downsize. I went with the Elantra for the price and ability to get some of the features I had in the Tucson. Fast forward, I love the care more than I imagined. Great gas mileage, heated seats and more "get-up-and-go" than other small sedans I have driven.
