Leasing a Nightmare
When I first received my 2025 Hyundai Elantra I was very happy. However, it was plagued by a damp smell that wouldn’t go away. Approximately 3 months into driving I would hit a pothole that destroyed my tire. When retrieving the spare I would come to find out there was a leak allowing water into the car the entire time, allowing mold to grow in the entirety of the trunk and circulate beyond. I contacted Hyundai motor America and have now been attempting to remedy the harm caused by their defect for over a month. My health has been affected, my belongings destroyed, and still no resolution.They haven’t allowed me to make changes to the vehicle either, so now I have been driving on a spare tire for over a month as well. Every time I get into the car I worry for my safety, and I cannot allow anyone else into the vehicle for fear of theirs. This has turned into a nightmare with no resolution.
