Great car but has some issues

The car itself is fantastic and feels good but there are a few glaring issues that I have noticed. For starters third gear and sometimes others is very notchy when upshifting at times. The next issue is the actuator makes a honking sound when driving at random . The last thing is when it rains the undercarriage rusts heavily and when I put it in gear it has to be gassed and I feel the car snap out of the rust. That doesn’t sound good.

I love my N overall. The only things I wish I could change are making the passenger window automatic like the drivers, I didn't realize how much that was an inconvenience until losing the option. I wish the gas tank was a little bit bigger, it makes keeping my shell rewards hard, you are required to use at least 10 gallons for the purchase count and with putting in premium gas, I lose 2 stars every fill up. The last thing is the car never stops pulling in air from the outside. Why? I have never had a vehicle do this before. Besides those three things, I absolutely love my N. Its fast, and it handles amazing!

Great Performance, Great Value, Fun Vehicle

The Elantra N is such a fun vehicle to drive and own. Perfect for daily driving, spirited weekend drives, and the occasional track day. In my opinion there's no vehicle on the market that has the performance it offers, for the price.

Never thought I would buy a Hyundai

The Hyundai Veloster N caught my attention when it came out years ago. When the 2022 Hyundai Elantra N launched, I was interested but the front end wasn't too aesthetically pleasing. The facelifted version looks much nicer and I decided to pull the trigger on the 2026 version before manual transmission inevitably disappear (Hyundai please keep making cars with manual transmissions).

36000 dollar weapon

Elantra N feels like the last gasp of a dying thing, So many enthusiast products these days are overpriced or missing the plot completely.. GR corolla is expensive and laden with saftey restrictions Golf R is expensive and has a nearly unusable interior Civic Type R is a high performance front drive sedan and Honda decides to delete the handbrake... The Magic of Elantra N is it just provides everything to you in a normal and usable way it never frustrates me in operation, it feels every bit raw and direct as something like Honda Civic Type-R and it achieves it at a MUCH better price point. If Hyundai can believer this surely VW/Honda/Toyota and the like can too.

Simply put, amazing

Having driven various cars of its class, this car has genuinely been a fun experience to own, it’s fun to drive going recently from a challenger to this, it’s like a toy to drive and in every good way possible, responsive in its steering and really quick, for a daily vehicle its perfect and you can still get rowdy while being faster than most cars on the street. This car punches above its class.

Keyless needs help

Overall vehicle is great, looks, performance and handling. Just need help with keyless and wireless charging, it takes so long to get a connection if any and charging a phone is next impossible.

Great car, wish it had 300 hp and please don’t get rid of the manuals

Title says it all. Hyundai actually made the perfect car enthusiast car and I’d hate to see that go away in the next generation of Elantra N’s. You all are hitting a niche market that is dying and it’s bringing Hyundai such good rep. I love the way the new Elantra looks just very afraid the six speed manual will be done away with.

Great car for the price!

Coming from a Subaru STI, the only thing I miss from it is the AWD. Otherwise I have no regrets of getting rid of the STI for the Elantra N. This car is a major upgrade in technology and convenience. The interior is super nicely designed and the exterior is eye catchy and bold. The vehicle sounds great from the factory without the need to spend money on modifying the exhaust like I did to the Subaru. I have had a few small issues with the vehicle but nothing major and all were addressed quickly. (window trim piece needed adjusting and there was an issue with the wiring to my front sensors in the bumper which was rodent damage as rodents love the insulation they use on the wiring.) I don't think you can beat the bang for your buck you get with the Elantra N especially when comparing it to anything similar in its segment. at $10,000 cheaper than a Type R, you really cant beat it. only things I can think of that would bring it up a notch would be adding heated steering wheel, cooled seats, power driver seat and the option for a sunroof on the manual version. I have owned 2! One was a certified preowned gray 2025 with 3,000 on it and I since upgraded to a new 2026 performance blue which was the original color I wanted. My boyfriend took over the 2025 I purchased and has been enjoying it after also driving Subarus for the last 7 years. Overall fun car!

The cars great so far and fun to drive with some minor quirks. In the end I love it but if I start having problems then this all changes.

Elantra N 6sp review

Overall the vehicle is awesome. There are a number of refinements over the previous gen that are well welcomed, it's definitely faster (better response) than the previous gen as well. The transmission feels really solid and the shifts are very smooth. The seats are very comfortable for both daily work commutes and also track day festivities. Overall for the price this car is pretty much unmatched for a "do all" vehicle where one can drive to work, pick up the misses and head to the track all in the same day.
