amazing driving car i have so much fun and has been super reliable no problems what so ever just a horn going out but got that easily fixed through warranty beautiful car inside and out seats can be a little bit of a pain on longer rides but they’re beautiful and wouldnt trade it sounds so amazing stock and w some modifications can sound even better i love it so much

The car runs very smooth, optimal for a budget sports car. The only problems I come across is the exhausts rattle after about 10K miles but not so much that they are falling off, they just sound loose and worn down. The mpg on the car is perfect for both city and highway at about 27 city/mpg and 32 highway/mpg. There's a random indicator that pops up randomly whenever I go out for a drive on the dashboard but it clears itself, this is a known glitch/issue that just hasn't been fixed at all throughout the cars system updates on the computer. I give the car a solid 8/10 with the few issues I've come across but it seems they fixed a lot of the performance and technical issues with the 2024 version of this vehicle.

Great vehicle overall, many minor issues. Horn is not reliable and has failed. Tires are not the best, no spare tire either.

Crap new car

Has 42k miles and has been overheating. Thats awful my 1991 dont even over heat

Great value performance car

This car is a blast to drive yet gets good gas mileage. It has great style and many features. I however do wish that it could easily sense the use of high octane fuel instead of going through a detailed process that only works part of the time.

I love the car, my only complaint is the little thi gs that went wrong. Somehow me seathead rest melted! Been like 5 months and the dealership still hasn't gotten back to me yet about fixing it. For the 2nd time my horn quit working, and the latch to open the truck broke off. The actual driving and look of the car is great but skimping on some of the nonmechanical parks takes away from that.

Best performance for the money by far

I absolutely love my Elantra N. I was looking for something sporty, but practical and I have not regretted my choice at all. Hyundai clearly put in the effort to ensure that this car had true performance shops, and it undercuts the price of its nearest competitors significantly. For anyone looking in this price range for both fun and practicality, this is the perfect car.

Fun, but needs a little more love in the interior

It’s been a fun, reliable car so far. The main downside is the interior build quality. The plastics in the center of the front seating area in particular feel cheap. Lots of creaking and rattling from the center dash and grab handle.

Hyundai Elantra N DCT

The Elantra N is supposed to be a budget friendly performance car. And that's exactly what it is. It's the best "bang for you buck" car (new or used) that you can find on the market. For half the price of a new Civic Type R, you get all the performance, and better technology and features. The only complaints I have with the car are the interior noises such as creaks and rattles, no front parking sensors, and the lack of ventilated seats. Other than that, this car is as close to perfect as you can get at the price point for a performance car.

Greta performance, less than desirable quality

The car is extremely fun to drive, no doubt. The car is a bargain compared to its competition. But after owning it, you can see why. Random bits of the exterior would crack. Regardless of how meticulous I maintained it, something still went wrong. Poor quality plastics on the exterior. Both side skirts cracked on their own. Front bumper cracked. Mechanically, car is meh. Back to back injector failures on the car were not fun. The O2 sensor acting up made it not fun. The high pressure fuel pump failing was not fun. The shaft of the turbo having play was not fun. All before 23k miles.

Amazingly Handsome and Fun to drive...and has a manual transmission!!!

Never would have thought a turbo charged 4 cylinder could be so much fun. The car is a rocket ship and sounds like no other 4 cylinder around (which is a good think because most 4 cylinders don't sound good) The adjustable exhaust has an amazing growl that is dripping with handsome juices. The power, feeling of the clutch pedal and the throw if the gear box are absolutely amazing. Hyundai truly hit it out of the park..... please keep making manual transmission cars

Love it or hate it front end looks. Wheels are a pain to keep clean from brake dust. The exhaust crackle/pop needs a "turn off" switch in ALL drive modes. The dummy instrument panel needs a dedicated gauge or clock other information screen (like put ALL the warning/caution lights there) rather than litter the gauge section with them. Right now it looks like Hyundai meant to put something there but forgot and said "who cares?". The headliner switches need to be backlit--black switches on a black headliner at night time cannot be found. Also, light the rear door window switches--don't be cheap with LED technology. More charging ports for back seat passengers as well as a/c ducts in the console for them. The speedometer and tach gauges do not go all the way to the screen edge--makes them smaller than they could be for the screen size and tough to read at a glance. Reprogram the GPU to extend the circles all the way from top to bottom. Give users the ability to pick the color of the gauge background, numbers, and pointers rather than three distinct themes--allows for more personalization. Have the car remember ALL user settings upon a restart rather than default to factory settings on some features (like auto creep off or traction control off or starts in "normal" mode). Upshift light does not work in manual mode for the DCT despite owners manual saying it should. Right headlight lights up the sidewalk--not the road. Don't care what is on the sidewalk since I am not driving there--I need the light on the road where the car is going to be in a few seconds so I can avoid hazards & stay safe. Fog lights would add to the car's aggressive looks. Add the sunroof to the 6 speed manual version and you will get a lot more sales of that version since a true "sports" car is always a manual shift transmission--otherwise it is just a "sporty" car with an automatic. When selling the car in snowy climates, put all season tires on the car. Auto lights on feature turns on the lights when I drive under a tree on a sunny day--WAY TOO SENSITIVE and annoying to have the lights clicking on and off all the time (dealer says that level of sensitivity is by design). The confirmation beep for locking the doors is way too soft--needs to be much louder like the Mark 6 Elantra (AD model).
