Nice car overall, but high RPMs and poor rear view are issues.

it’s a good-looking and nice car. However, the hybrid model I own sometimes bothers me because the RPMs get very high even at low speeds. Another issue I’ve noticed is that the rear visibility isn’t great due to the car’s design.

Great car with unbelievable gas mileage

This car is made for city driving. You get better gas mileage in the city than on the highway. I am averaging 49-50mpg in the city and 37-40mpg on the highway. Of course there could be some improvements on the car. For instance, I can never get the battery to charge up to 100%...When it is warming up in the morning, after about 3 minutes the engine shuts off, this will not be good in the winter time when there is snow and ice on the ground...The engine won't be fully warmed up. Also, when driving in ECO mode if you press the accelerator pedal down to the floor, it takes about 3 seconds before the car responds, that is too long when driving either in the city or on the highway. That response time needs to be cut in half. There are two other options i wish the car had: #1-To be able to keep the car running on gas when warming up, not shutting off so fast. #2-To be able to run the car strictly on the battery or gas with the push of a button. Other than that, the car is great for a sedan. I have had the car since about the last week in march, so for the last two months I have only filled up the gas tank 3 times. 2 out of the 3 fill ups where after a 200 mile round trip to my parents.

Everything I hoped for and expected.

I have thoroughly enjoyed owning and driving my Elantra Hybrid. My fuel costs plummeted, and the ease of driving the vehicle is a pleasure. I'm still adjusting to backing up with a camera/screen...If anything is directly behind my car, it is invisible through the rear view window, making the camera a necessity. After 50 years of driving, I am still learning. My previous vehicle was a 2007, so I am enjoying the many modern innovations of my brand new Elantra.

It's early, check back in about 40K miles.

Like the vehicle, it's new, got lots of tech, nice hybrid drive train. Hood is not aligned as I would expect it to be. Otherwise it's a nice car, come back in a couple of years and I'll tell you what I think.

Awesome and affordable hybrid!

I bought my 2025 Elantra hybrid to save money on gas because I commute 40 miles each way to and from work daily. This thing gets 55+ mpg average, ride is smooth and quiet, and I just love this car!!!!

Fun & Efficient

The Elantra Hybrid is fun to drive with good performance and handling. The construction seems solid and the finishes are nice. The interior design has a few features I find less than useful, as do the navigation and driver assist features. The only concerning issue I've discovered so far is a small but noticeable uncommanded surge of power when inching forward into a parking space. If you're not ready for it you could bump into whatever is in front of you.
