Beautiful but almost too smart

I love the vehicle but I have to admit, my Volvo XC90 was more comfortable for long drives. Beautiful inside and out. A little too smart. I don't need it telling me that it's time for a cup of coffee because I have been driving for too long. I have to go in and find a way to turn off all annoying sounds. Drives great but not a real tight turn so I have to back up a little and turn again.

Beautiful but almost too smart

One of the best all-around vehicles available from any manufacturer

I heard that the ride would be hard due to the 22 inch wheels, but instead the vehicle is composed and quiet on just about any surface. The electronic suspension performs well, though the drive mode ultimately determine how quick it makes adjustments. I will put the recommended tire pressures that I am using since that seems to be a discussion. Since this has the third row the recommended psi for the rear is 42. I don't suggest going below 40. I have settled on 41. For the front, It is just fine at the recommended 36 psi. The GV80 has a great combination of quiet and composed driving experience. There is plenty of power on tap for highway passing, even with the 2.5, which is what my vehicle has. It took me a while to decide on this. I began test driving with the 2022 model year, so I'm well familiar with both engines and each trim level. Every time behind the wheel is enjoyable. The one area I'm not as high on, even though I find it to be highly satisfactory, is that the USB media player does not read playlists. I don't understand how this could be a thing in 2026, but the ease of use of the infotainment system as a whole makes up for it. All in all, if you are in the market for a vehicle in this class, I recommend the GV80 for the best combination of features, performance, and overall looks. You can't beat it.

TECHNOLOGY AND QUALITY VERY POOR

for an expensive car like this, technology should work all the time, user's set up should be applied all the time, but many times does not work, fingerprint does not work properly, key in my iphone does not always open the car and finally, very cheap and poor material. With what I spent I would have bought a car with no issues listed above and with and it would also gave me a status, this one is still considered a Hyundai and I kind of agree with this statement

Almost perfect Until....

I have a 2026 GV80 with 4,654 miles and got an error code that there was an issue with the powertrain! Had a heck of a time with road side assistance to and from the dealership, since the closest dealer is 284 miles away. 6 days later she is on a flatbed on her way home. This is not what I expected with a brand new car and with such low miles. This is my second Genesis, traded my 2025 in March, 2026 because I had over 25,000 miles on it (with no issues whatsoever). I'm hoping I didn't get a 2026 lemon and continue to have issues! Typically I would have rated everything with the highest possible but this has left me stressed and gives me a little anxiety now on dependability!

My GV80

Love the quietness and smoothness of the ride. I am disappointed that the radar only works in clear weather and has never worked when storms are near. We don't like not being able to over-ride the "take a break" etc warnings. Car has stopped in a car wash when in neutral and wheels would not roll through on the automatic roller. Not enough storage area; no place to even put a tissue box

Good value but suspect quality

Overall, tremendous value for the dollar. Comparable features in Mercedes, BMW, or Audi will cost you $10-$15K more. However, the build quality is suspect. Rattles and squeaks permeate throughout the cabin. Same experience with my previous GV80.

Best car ever!

I have owned the large Lexus sedan and a number of Toyota Land Cruisers. The GV80 is the best of those vehicles combined. The silent cloud like ride of the Lexus and the solid road feel and roominess of the Land Cruiser.

Great riding, driving car.

I love my Genesis. I can sit high and see all the traffic around me. It's comfortable to sit in, it's easy to drive. There are more to it than basic comfort. The sound system, heated seats, air and heat flows easily.
