You'll see me in 2030 with this truck. The engine is exactly what I want in a pickup. 4 stars because of: 1) Tranny and torque- converter 2) The electronics- On the one hand convenient; on the other, a hassle. If you've owned and experienced a 99 7.3 you can empathize.

I have had this truck new 17 years later and at 209 K mile I have never had any big problems.

Love this truck! Although it's getting older, it still has the power and oomph to do the job! Very comfortable to drive and ride in, also. Still get envious looks going down the road, too!

best vehicle I ever had

This truck has been a great construction vehicle and family car. Never met a reasonable job It couldn't handle. On my second engine because of my inadvertent abuse, but the small v8 is the best engine Ford makes and better mileage than my Ranger. Great truck, great company, never took taxpayer money~

Love my Ford Truck.

Although it has some years on it like me, I wouldn't trade it for a new one. I have it broke in just the way I like it. Never any problems , just normal maintenance and I just had my first tune up last year.

Needed a 3/4 ton pickup and the price was right. Drive train seems strong. Electric system is crap. Door window motors cause terrible static on radio. Also bumps cause static. Just had new ball joints, idler arm, casters, and pitman arm installed. Cooling system serviced and fuel filter replaced 08/2015. New brakes in 05/2015. Plan to have transmission and differential checked before end of 2015 as finances permit. Also need to replace windshield as it is heavily pitted.

1999 Ford pickup

I purchased my 1999 Ford F150 new and have been very pleased with it as it has been very reliable mostly trouble free. I would buy another Ford pickup.
