My 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan!

Dodge Grand Caravans have always afforded me enough leg room, so that I could still get in them and drive them, but in the last 10 or more years they have changed the design of the Caravan’s Dashboard pushing it closer to the driver, and stealing the leg room I needed to drive them. I’m 6’ 5” tall! In fact I couldn’t even get in my 2016 Grand Caravan without my knees smashing into the Dashboard! When I told the car salesman this they agreed to modify the driver’s seat and move it back 6 inches affording me the leg room I needed to drive it in comfort. Sadly I forgot to have them move the front passenger seat back also, in case I would ever be a passenger in the vehicle. So now the only seat I can sit in, in my Grand Caravans is the modified Driver’s seat.

Our Family Van

We purchased our van brand new and have kept on schedule with all of our maintenance. Our Grand Caravan is the SXT package and our Grandchildren are very happy we have it. Our family has been up and down the East Coast to many of the popular shore destinations multiple times. We currently have approximately 134K miles on it. When the standard warranty expired we purchased an extended warranty that gives us coverage through 2027 or 175K miles. Knock on wood we have had no major issues. I believe we have had a couple repairs that were minor issues under the Chrysler warranty one was something to do with the blower motor needing to be checked and I think they changed out what could have been a possible faulty oxygen sensor. Since then, other than regular wear and tear items we have had to replace our Windshield Wiper Motor, and the two rear wheel bearings now. My wife Loves her Van she has had five in the past but, this has been by far the most reliable and best performing vehicle out of all of them!

The big red 1

When my wife first suggested that we get a mini van I balked at the idea. Our family was grown and I didn't think we needed a van. However, I took it for a test drive and it was like driving my favorite living room chair down the road. So far we have owned 5 of them and I will keep big red on the road as long as I can.

Great all purpose vehicle

The only problem with this car is my short legs. I just figure it's good exercise climbing in and out of the van. It's very versatile and basic - no screens, no cameras, no voices telling me what to do.

Needed a caravan to haul stuff and have found it works well carrying passengers, too.

Bought it as I knew I had several trips of 100 miles or more several times a month, sometimes with "stuff" and other times with passengers. With low maintenance and great miles per gallon (25 on interstate driving speed limit) it is a great car!

Grand Dodge caravan 2016

I love the design of the car. It’s the rest of it ( mechanical parts) that I don’t like. I had a new yes New transmission put in my car 94,000 miles had a vibration after that then 10,000 miles later flywheel another $900. So nickel and dime me to death. I will put a jasper engine in it if I have too.

Love it

This is the sixth Caravan/ Grand Caravan I have had . The performance is great, the gas mileage is good, the amenities are great and the van is comfortable. It is my favorite of all the Caravans I have had.

Great vehicle for every day!

This can has out performed any other vehicle I've owned. We own a small farm and have 7 dogs, so vet visits as well as feed and straw hauling it has been great! Great for long distance travel as well...with seats folded down you're able to sleep comfortably on a cushion.

2016 Grand Dodge Caravan

It has get up and go. Sometimes to much. My transmission went out at 90,000 miles. Nothing was wrong with the transmission. Wasn’t slipping or anything? That’s why I was so surprised when it went out. I highly recommend buying a New transmission with Jasper engine’s. Anything else is the same problem that dodge doesn’t want to fix or even admit that there is a problem or a recall. So I’m out $4500.00 other than that I love the van that’s why 4⭐️

My 2016 is a piece of junk

I hate this car. It is four years old and in the last year we have had to replace the fuel pump, had a malfunctioning coil, experienced a misfire issue, replaced the regulator on the driver side window and then the same darned thing happened with the passenger side window. The lock motor on the drivers side sliding door is also malfunctioning and makes a terrible buzzing noise and won’t lock but it’s of course going to cost us a ton of money to fix it so we’re just dealing with it. We are still paying on this vehicle and it’s falling apart. If I hear “This is a fluke,” “This never happens,” “You shouldn’t be dealing with these problems“ or “I feel so bad for you but this isn’t covered” one more time I am going to scream. DON’T BUY THIS VAN.
