Service is non-existent in the Service Department
Understanding hiring issues and pandemic staffing shortages, I've adjusted my expectations for service, but the Towne Hyundai service staff reached a new low on 1/20/22. The engine on my 2018 Hyundai (purchased out of state) stalled while I was on the Thruway----As the dealership closest to my home and with great service reviews, I called Towne and left a message for service dept. at 9:17am on 1/20, I then left another message at 12:00---having neither message returned, we attempted to drop the car off at the dealership at approximated 3:30pm. We walked in to find 3 representatives behind the desk--only one was dealing with a customer, nobody was on the phone and no computer entry was being done. Nobody asked if they could help us---so, we walked up to one of the men at the desk and explained the situation and without making eye contact he said what we thought was "we can get to it tomorrow"---when we repeated it, he then clarified saying "March--can't do anything until March". We said that due to the issue, the car was clearly unsafe to drive was still under warranty and asked what our options were---his answer was "I don't know--can't do anything here until March" A man who was clearly a manager then told us that there are other Hyundai dealerships in the area and we should try them. (We did and our car was dropped off at another dealership later that day for emergency service). While not being happy about it, I understand service delays due to staffing issues. What I can't understand is the complete lack of professional, courteous explanation of the situation or lack of any attempt to provide even minimal assistance, direction or customer service---up to the management level. I currently own my 3rd Hyundai-- I certainly would never by a vehicle from this location and this experience has me questioning whether I would buy another Hyundai at all.

Service
If I could give no stars I would. I bought my VW there. BIG mistake!! I also purchased my extended warranty there.. However, If it needs work done on it - which has been often, I have to take it out to Bowmansville. I feel that they should either fix it where it was purchased or take the responsibility of getting it to a different location. I truly wish I had never bought my car there.
