Very reliable pick-up truck!
I bought my '06 Toyota Tundra new in September of that year at Gault Toyota in Endicott, New York. At the suggested intervals I took the pick-up back there, some 60 miles north of my home in Falls, PA, and this regular servicing has kept my truck on the road and a very reliable vehicle ever since then. With only some 68k miles on it now, it's considered low mileage after nearly 10 years. About 18 months ago the truck sustained serious damage to its left side in side-swipe accident in residential Pittston, PA, when an oncoming maxivan skidded on the slippery road and clobbered me. Neither airbag in my truck deployed. Luckily, my wife and I were unhurt, nor was the other driver, but my truck was not able to be driven and had to be towed to a repair place, where it spent over 3 months to get some serious repair work. Such a history would make it very unattractive to a potential buyer, so I've kept the truck, which even now runs like new. I like the size of this truck compared to the newer models, which means I'd probably NOT buy another Tundra in the future if I were to need a replacement. I love this 4wd vehicle in the snow and ice; it only has all-season tires on it, but it goes up a snowy road in 4wd like nothing I've ever had before.
