It's a better car than I thought it would be

I can't say it outstanding, but I have little to complain about. The entire safety system shuts down if the gas cap isn't on tight enough. That's outright dumb.

Great Vehicle for Living in North Idaho

Needed all wheel drive and good ground clearance for driving in snow, priced at a rate a person on a moderate retired income could afford. This vehicle fits the billl; has decent trailer towing capacity for my summer toys and trips to the county dump too!

Where the Tire meets the road.

I was going 110 miles an hour on a Go Kart when I was 16 years old. The handling of a vehicle is of the utmost importance for me. I look forward to our next snow storm as I know with my driving ability and what my Subaru Forrester offers me I know I’ll get to where I need to go. PS this is my second Subaru.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Forester

I've had 2 other Subaru Legacy's and last year bought my 3rd Subaru, this time a Forester. I really love it, lots of room, lots of helpful icons to assist with safe driving. I challenge anyone reading this to go take a Forester for a test ride, you will be very impressed. PROMISE~~

Design issues

The vehicle has a known battety drain issue. While a software fix may resolve the matter with some model years, apparently systems place a constant load on the electrical system resulting in draining the battery. I have replace two batteries and had a dead vehicle 5 times…unsatisfactory performance in my book.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Forester

I am enjoying getting to know all the ICONS on my car. Great gas mileage 33 MPG. There is only 1 thing that I wish was different, it's the design on the car over my right shoulder...I am trying to adjust to using my camera, but I am old school and trust my site over the camera.

It is a better car than I thought it would be

Some of the "green" features are a pain. Supposedly the extra wear and tear has been accomodated in the materials and design. I haven't put enough miles on the car to find out if that's true or not.

My favorite vehicle

My 2020 Forester is my favorite vehicle out of the many I have owned and driven in my 50 years of driving. The versatility, the dependability, the size, the all-wheel drive, the comfort, everything. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Heavy hand of environmental activism present in the car's features.

The system than turns off the engine at stop lights is a real annoyance. I want the heater getting up to temperature when it is cold and the air conditioning running when it is hot. It has to add a lot of stress to the starting mechanism and starting fuel injection vs. how little environmental damage done by idling. The default should be to turn this on, not off.

My last Forester

I’ve had five Subaru Foresters but this will be my last. There are just too many buttons, abbreviations, flashing distractions/messages. Can’t even see 8 buttons lower left that aren’t lit in daylight. RAB is the worst !

2020 Forester

This is our second Forester and our third Subaru. We just had the first service at 6,000 miles and expect it to be as reliable as our former 2010 Forester. We had about 180,00 miles on the 2010 Forester when we gave it to our granddaughter as a graduation present. Both have been excellent vehicles that are both safe and reliable. They are easy to access and provide an excellent view of the road. We are very pleased with the Forester.

2nd Forester

When I started looking for a replacement for my larger SUV, to be honest, Subaru was not one I had considered. A family member suggested I take a look. After test driving, I was sold.. My first was a 2017, base model. It handled our PNW weather like a champ! My second Forester has eyesight and some other features that are terrific. I feel safe and confident with my family in the car and will 100% buy another one.

Love my Forester
