Solid and reliable vehicle.

I have enjoyed driving my 2006 Lexus GX470 for the past 18 years. It has low mileage and has been parked in my garage. Consequently, it appears to be much newer than its age. It handles well and is a very functional vehicle.

This is a very strong vehicle

This is a very strong vehicle for a 19 year old car. It runs smoothly. We are the original owners and have not had problems with it over the years. Purchasing it is well worth it. You get your money’s worth.

Great Vehicle

I really love this car...had it now almost two years. It's responsive and handles great on the highway, and equally at home and solid when i go off-road. Luxurious without being ostentatious, with a beautiful and functional interior with its mix of leather and wood. Fun to drive, very responsive, gives you a great feeling of confidence. Had 100,000+ miles on it when I bought it.....just broken in! Great SUV!

Excellent SUV

Pound for pound a SUV that feels like a car. Major space with many bells and whistles that makes this SUV superb. The drive is very smooth and comfortable for such a big SUV. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a 2006 SUV.

Long lasting parts and body. It’s built tough!

My Lexus IS considered part of my family. She is referred to as “Old Betsy Blue”. She has never left me stranded on any highway. The routine repairs/replacements didn’t start until well over 100,000. I plan on getting another one this year and Old Betsy will remain a part of the family. Thanks Lexus for every safety feature and keeping us comfortable.

Best SUV on the Road

Lexus needs to build the next GX like they built my 2006 GX470. It is still the best SUV on the road even with 272,000 miles on it. This vehicle still handles and rides like new. There is no other SUV that compares including all the newer model Lexus GX's.

Best SUV ever built

Cannot find another midsize SUV that rides, handles and has the comfort of this vehicle. Test drives of newer models do not come close to the overall comfort and performance of this vehicle after almost 270,000 miles

Best SUV on the road

Lexus built this model to last. The ride and performance are as good as the day I drive it off the dealer’s lot. It’s a shame the styling, ride and performance of the newer model GX 460 pale comparison.

Best SUV on the road. Wish Lexus would build the GX 460 as well as they built the GX 470 with the GX 470 styling. I have over 261,000 miles on this car and it rides as smooth and quiet as the day I drove it off the dealer's lot.

Best SUV ever built. It is a shame that the newer versions of this vehicle cannot match up to the GX 470 ride and styling. The current version of this model (GX 460) does not have the ride, handling or styling.

Best SUV on the road

I have driven other SUVs and none of the others come close to this vehicles performance , handling or comfort. It has the road stability of an SUV but rides and handles like a luxury car. Lexus needs to clone this model and bring the newer GX’s up to this one’s overall style, comfort and performance.

This 2006 GX 470 is the best SUV on the road. I have test driven the new GX 460 and it does not handle or perform as well as my GX 470 that has over 245,000 miles on it. In addition, the styling on the new GX is not as appealing as the 2006 model with its beveled grill and overall "boxy" look. Lexus should go back to the more sleek styling of the earlier vehicle designs.

I purchased this car 11 yrs ago when it had just 2,000 miles. Other than 1 back spring nothing major has had to be done to the car. It is by far the best car I have ever owned. Mileage is now over 227,000!
