Tucson is a good car, and provides excellent value

Overall good comfort. Front seats are a bit stiff and uncomfortable after a long drive. Really sorry you don't put height adjustment for the front passenger seat. Same as our lovely 2015 Santa Fe, Platinum Edition. My wife has to sit on a pillow to get height, and that doesn't allow the passenger airbag sensor to be active (it doesn't sense the passenger.)

Disappointed

I have 3000 miles on the car. Left rear tire does not hold air and now a recall on the vehicle. Dealership is an hour away and I will have to take a vacation day to bring the car in and then wait for the recall work to be completed. Not happy.

Wow

It is decidedly superior in fit, finish and attention to detail than the Chevrolet Equinox it replaced. Generally we buy American but the Tucson was so obviously better put together than the American cars I looked at it was a no brainer buying decision.

LOVE IT

Loving my Tucson! Only been driving it for three months but so far - it's been a great car. Lots of room for what I need, gas mileage is great - as expected, safety features are awesome. The only thing I would change is the small cup holders (which is minor, I know!)

Early Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited ownership review

Thus far I have had a very good experience with my new vehicle. The features on my trim are very nice. The ride is very comfortable. The only concern I have so far is that I have had two factory recalls for my vehicle. No issues with any safety matters, just wondering if there will be any other recalls.

Love - Hate relationship

This car is super comfortable and drives beautifully - when everything is going smoothly. However some of the sensors are glitchy - already had 2 replaced with less than 5000 miles. Also some annoying features - like no ability to just note a hitch is attached. Some automatic "safety" features seem like they make the experience more unsafe and I don't always trust the response because of the faulty sensors. I don't want to be nervous driving my car because of "advanced" or "safety" features.

Fun, sporty with better gas mileage

I have had a blast driving around in my new Tucson Hybrid. We drive a lot and it is fantastic for room and miles without tremendous cost. We don't have to worry about start stop tech as the EV takes over. This is just an overall fun vehicle. Thank you.

Great except for the ventilation system. Needs secondary lever to shut off/limit vents, instead of directing the flow at the other occupant to reduce the flow.

Good technology and features. Hybrid highway mileage is disappointing

I've been driving the 2026 Tucson Hybrid for a little over 4 months now. 1. I like the technology features on the instrument layout and the oversized screen. I am driving the Limited trim and I love all the bells and whistles. 2. I am a bit disappointed in the consistency of the Carplay connectivity. A number of times, I have had to turn on/off Wifi and Bluetooth on my phone to get it to connect (sometimes multiple times). A few trips, I have had to completely do without. 3. I am kind of disappointed in the mileage. I am coming off a Toyota Avalon Hybrid (much larger vehicle) and got 42 mpg on average - so I do not typically drive in a manner to get poor mileage. I'm only at about 34 mpg in the Tucson. It is rated 36 mpg city and 36 combined, so it's not too far off, but it is disappointing that a smaller vehicle gets so much lower MPG than the Avalon. I am most disappointed in the Highway mileage. It is rated 37 mpg on the Highway, but my Highway mileage on several road trips has been less than 30 mpg. 4. One of my biggest complaints is that it sticks in Accessory mode too easily when shutting down. I have never had this occur in any other vehicle I have owned or rented. But with the Tucson, if you are not super careful, it will stay in Accessory mode with AC fan running after "shutoff". To prevent this, I have been waiting 5 or 10 seconds after shifting into Park before turning off the engine. This has worked successfully except for a few occasions. A minor hassle unless you are in a hurry and end up garaging it in Accessory mode.

Tucson issues

I am having to bring it in for the third time because the rear view camera works intermittently and has already been replaced. Also, the brakes screech when you back up. I am taking it in for the second time for this issue.

Very pleased with the purchase, but...

I'm very pleased with my 2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. I'm getting better gas mileage than expected and I am happy overall with the ride and performance of the car. However, I did not know that the Infotainment 'head unit' came in 2 version, ccNC Lite and ccNC. This wasn't covered when I purchased the car and I didn't think to look when I was looking for a new car to see if there were a difference between the 12.3" screens that is shown in most of the online information. I only found out there was a difference when I was trying to change the 'themes' for the Infotainment system. I had taken the car for the front camera recall and even the personnel at the service center could not tell me why I couldn't do the updates to include the themes. Only after about 6 phone calls to Bluelink did the service representative notice that I have the ccNC Lite Infotainment and not the ccNC version.

In general, a great car. Bad design that sensor alarm for 'Driver Attention Warning (DAW) or Driver Drowsiness Attention Warning' cannot be shutoff permanently. It has to be turned off each time you drive the car and is otherwise a nuisance that is constantly going off. In my opinion a small SUV car that is a hybrid should get more than 37 MPG (mid 40s MPG). In fact, it is almost impossible to drive the car in a manner that you will reach that MPG. Best 35 MPG. It appears this is because the battery is not large enough and does not hold enough charge to help drop the MPG by using battery power more often.
